Hi guys well my rhino is booked for the 23rd of November with Mr G, however i’m feeling scared as he told me i must sleep on my back or slightly upright for 4 months. ALL my life i’ve slept on my stomach with my head to one side and he’s said this is a defo no no because i could end up with a bent nose. How is everyone else managing to sleep? i know i’m not comfy on my back and i’m scared i’ll turn over and now know xx

I slept the exact same, n sometimes I get the urge to go back into that position. I have got 6 pillows and a V shaped pillow at the top so I don’t go over and squash my nose lol. It was annoying and difficult to sleep at first but starting to get used to it noe (11 days post op). Another thing I’ve done is make sure I don’t go to sleep till I’m really really tired, I found that I fall asleep easier without moving about and usually wake up in a similar position x x gd luck with ur op x x

Awww thanks guys, i will defo wait until i’m really tired as usually i kind of turn the lights & tv off and then spend a good hour tossing and turning. I’ve never even heard of a V pillow but i can guess obviously what it’s like. Stupid question to you guys but does it go this way…V or this way….^…i’m confused :?:xx

I have been sleeping with mine like this /\ but mine is actually more of a U shape so it’s quite comfortable with the top bit under your head. I have found it to be a godsend and using it on the sofa too x

    Sascia – MY NOSE??????????????

Its always been very nice thanx y do u ask?

Sascia, I had my nose done on the 22nd with Mr G, all you need to do is get a V pillow and about 5 pillows and literaly sleep upright, it’s a bit uncomfortable but if you rolled onto you freshly done nose that would be a disaster….

A few times I have slept sleeping up on my leather recliner in the front room. The nurse at the hospital will show you, don’t worry I have been sleeping on my front for years, so if I can do it so can you xxx

I heard sleeping on your back is better for you anyway, when you sleep on your side your face squashes against the pillow and gives you wrinkles! But saying that sleeping on your side is better for your breething if you suffer from snoring.

I’ve been sleeping on my side all my life I should realy make the switch, going to go and get myself a U pillow.
