Just had quite a scare… I had a bath to soak off the steri strips, I had to get out quickly coz I was a fraction from passing out! I dunno what happened! Scared the bejesus out of me! x
Hi hun,
you need to make sure you change the position your heels are in regular other wise your skin will break down and you will be left with bed sores there!! I had the exact same, my heels became tender from the position I was sleeping in so I just made sure I change the position of my feet regular so all the pressure wasnt on one area….as a nurse Iv seen 1st hand how fast they can develop. Hope your feeling better after your bath incident xx
Ahh thank you, I’ll take better care of myself and change positions xx
ics3, you should see what I’ve been laughing imagining the scene with rescuers seeing you with macom and socks 😆 😆
lcs3, I just thought are you putting your feet up in the day too? This might add to the pressure if so…..??xxxx
Im in work today so my fair share of walking around.
Its a very funny sight.. socks and macom!

Hey hun!
Roll a towel up, and place it behind your ankles so your feet can be slightly elevated- keeping your heels away from the bed!! And keep creaming them too!
xx
Hey girls! Just some advice really, Im a student nurse and have to deal with heel sores everyday..!!
Wouldnt really recommend putting moisturiser on your heels, it makes the skin a lot softer and more prone to breaking down! As pinkbutterfly said, best bet is to roll a towel up and put a soft blanket over it to keep your feet off of the bed

Hospital tricks! 😉
