Hi ladies, i need advice!! can we choose whether we have unders or overs? I’m a 32a and I wanna go up to a D cup, I’ve been told by the surgeon that I should have unders to reduce capsulation and wrinkling but I’m paying extra to have naturelle which reduces the chances apparently of those things happening anyways from what the surgeon said… My op is booked for end of this month(31st July) and I’m starting to freak out!!! What I’m more concerned about is loss of strength as I’m a professional pole dance teacher and do quite alot of extreme tricks and competitions. I’m also concerned that my new boobs will contract when I do moves on the pole as the muscles tighten I witnessed it at a competition last year and it looked awful as the woman purposely contracted her boobs to the music, One at a time!!!!! I just need to know if I can make the decision for unders or overs or do I have to go along with what doc says… ? Please help!! xx

In the end it is your decision but I wouldn’t go with that doctor then because if something is going wrong he will tell you, i told you so.

You need to go to more consultations before making such a decision!

I think the surgeon will only tell you what he thinks is suitable for your body and what type of skin you have, i think u could do with seeing a few others for different opinions, i have just had unders and given the choice i would of had overs but i just didnt have enough tissue, im sure your surgeon will only want you to have the most natural look :) x

Always go with what your surgeon suggests, otherwise see another if your unhappy, but I will say I paid extra for the responsives and I still have slight rippling around the sides, it’s not bad at all though as its only when I bend over or lean forward I can feel it, its not visible AND I had unders too, so it would of been a lot worse if id of had overs! Oh and also, if I flex my muscle, I to get that horrid boob movement, I hate it, but it’s a matter of what I’d rather have….boobs that flex at the same time as me flexing my muscles(which I hardly ever do) or rippling which may be visible all the time if I had overs….I no which I’d rather have, and it’s not rippling!

Unfortunately there’s not perfect option, or boob job my opinion, they both come with downsides, overs or unders, it’s just deciding which one is gonna best be suited for you! xx

Most surgeons only wanted to do unders for me as well but I decided with my activity level that overs would be better for me. And I would have hated any muscle distortion. So I looked for a surgeon who understood that and so happy I had overs.

My surgeon said I’d need unders. I’m having 470cc TRX unders and I’ve gone with his recommendation and here’s why, he only does boob jobs for cosmetic reason and reconstruction, he’s done over 7000 boob ops so he really is the best person to make the decision, not me. Mine are natrelle too and although i’d prefer overs, there’s less of a risk of capsular contract and rippling. I’m a 36B and nearly 6ft tall so I think i’m having unders because I haven’t got the room to have overs.

I’d go with the surgeon recommendation any day. Just my view though xx

I’d suggest that you keep on seeing surgeons until you are happy. Go with your gut feelings because they will be right. I had unders and I still havent got my proper complete strength back and I’m 4 months down the line. My boobs also do the flexing thing….I do have rippling though which would have been way worse if I’d had overs so I’m happy with my unders xx
