I feel like crying

My op is after tomorrow, and I have cough which seems to be getting only worse….I’ve been waiting for this for so long, had my holidays booked at work, childcare arranged, and now if they cancel my operation….I don’t even want to think about it:( The nurse said I should be ok, but that doesn’t mean I will be ok, and also, what after op? I guess it will hurt when coughing?

i had a chest infection the wk b4 op which turned out to be laringitious it was awful and i didnt think my op would go ahead but the docs just said as long as its not in ur lungs like phnemonia or sumthin its ok…just make sure u let them kno tho! And yeh it did hurt while coughing :-s i had unders..duno if it would make a difference! It wasnt that bad..i mean ur alread sore anyway lol xx

Hey hun..day after my op and I was choking on muesli this morning..coughed a fair bit and it hurt a little. Try to drink some honey and lemon in warm water..it soothes your throat and minimises coughing if you sip it slowly and often.

Hopefully it will get better soon. Don’t get yourself stressed as it will make you feel worse. Positive thoughts ok?
