Hi all,
Im kinda panicing as i have my father – inlaws 60th b-day bash 7 days after my op! im tryin to be realistic about weather im going to fell well buy then to go? Its a posh do so i have to find a dress which leads me to ask….. will i be covered in bruses on my chest? Will i be in to much pain to go to the do? I kinda figured for myself i will not be able to drink!.
Thanks K
I had a hen party 10 days after my op. I managed to find a classy dress that covered my top half so I was still able to wear my sports bra, I chose one that focused more on my legs! I still had a few drinks and a danced the night away with the girls, I was just super careful I didnt knock myself or over do it! Infact I really enjoyed the night and was pain free.
When I came home from having my BA I was dreading the hen party thinking I would be in pain but by time it came I was feeling great and enjoyed dressing up
Find a outfit you can keep a sports bra on so that you feel supported and just see how you go, by then hopefully you should be well enough!

Hi, im exactly the same. Im having mine done on the Wed, on the sat we are having a big leaving party for my sister as she and her partner are going travelling round the world for 12 months. This is a full blown evening thing, with a hired room. My sis has bought herself a really nice dress etc. I will be 3 days post op, will feel ill prob, have a very flattering sports bra on etc… Plus i have 2 children under 2 to have to get ready and take there, which is normally a handfull in itself. Can you not drink either? is it because of the tablets? xx
So i should be ok then. As for the dress i do have a muti way sports bra which is fab but will my chest be black & blue with brusing? will i need to cover my chest?
I figured you cant drink on tablets like antibiotics.
Thanks K
Hi Kiarah! I was told you can drink 1 week after the BA. Also, I’ve heard very few people have bruising, so you should be fine! Hope this helps :o) xxx
Kiarah – I didnt have any bruising on my chest, just a very light coloured one at the side on my ribs which went within a few days! Antibiotics your not supposed to drink on them however I was only on them for 5 days, so you should be off them by then!
Lucyloo – 3 days post op and having such a big party, I feel for you lol. I remember 3 days post op I wasnt feeling great, drousy due my pain meds and very emotional. Its also difficult to style your hair due to not being able to lift. Just ensure you dont over do it hun!

Good evening,
I had my BA last friday with Mr Singh.
I was strapped up for 4 days and put my sports bra on yesterday.
I have had no bruising and no pain just alittle discomfort. I have had a couple of glasses of wine on my antibiotics. I haven’t need the pain killers since the second night.
Enjoy the parties.

Hi
I had my BA 7 days ago – I have no bruising, I feel well in myself, I CAN drink, it’s only a 5 day course of antibiotics and I didn’t need painkillers after day 2!
You will be fine
My only advice is when buying a dress be carefull if it’s an ‘over the head’ one as I still find lifting my arms straight up difficult.
Have fun x
