    Morning Ladies,
I’m totally in love, had my op yesterday (less than 24 hours ago) and my experience was amazing.

My admission time was 7:30am so I was up at 5:30, on a train to London Victoria at 6:40 and sat in Fitzroy reception at 7:25. I waited about 10 minutes as the night shift did a hand over to the morning shift and was then shown to my room (number 6)
As I arrived on my own I was happy to see I would be sharing with someone else. With my sexy gown, paper knickers and socks on I sat back and waited. I was prepared and bought several magazines with me and my book to read (I didn’t even open the mags in the end)
At about 8:30 the anaestatist came in and talked me through what was going to happen, he then said I was second on the list and I would be seen between 10:30-11:30. Panic kicked in and I thought to myself, by lunchtime I could have new boobies!!
I was joined by a lovely girl Holly and her mum Lynn, couldn’t have asked for a better roomie for the day. We chatted all the time high helped with our nerves and when it was mine time to go up they wished me well.
The nurse that came to get me was lovely, I was shaking head to toe and she calmed me down very quickly and was talking to me as if we had known each other for ages.
A few other nurses were in the room, we were laughing and joking waiting for me to be put to sleep.
Being put to sleep was quick, i don’t even remember closing my eyes, the oxygen mask was on, I was taking deep breathes and then I was waking up in recovery.
Waking up from anaesthetic can make you do some strange things, mine was reaching up and stroking the nurses face! Haha. It didn’t even register to me I had new boobs!
They held my hand, they spoke to me, the gave me water (which was like Christmas) and then I was being wheeled down back to my room.
I passed Holly my roomie in the hallway which was lovely to see, her mum was waiting and did so much to help look after me 🙂
Getting back on to the bed is a bit awkward as they say don’t lean on your arms, so you have to shuffle on your bum, and avoid the urge to roll!
The pain was bearable, it’s like a strong muscle ache and tightness in your chest. My tips is to remember to breathe, slow long deep breathes unlike me who didn’t and when the nurse came to do my blood pressure my heart rate had dropped and I felt very sick and dizzy. You will get used to the tightness, so breathe.
I had some toast and some Jelly Babies, needed the sugar. This made me feel sick but everyone’s reaction to anaesthetic is different and I’ve had sickness before. After some water and a little nap I was ok and wanted to go home.
The drains, I’d heard so many stories about this so I kept an open mind and I would recommend you do the same. She did my right one first, and it felt like a strong stinging sensation and some pressure on the inside of my boob. This one unfortunately was tight and the nurse struggled to get it out. After a tug and what felt like hours it was out, I asked for more painkillers before she did the other as I was not comfortable. I felt bad as my roomie Holly hadn’t had hers out yet and she could hear me in pain. The nurse assured me that the second one is always better and she will come back soon once my painkillers had kicked in.
The second one was easy, same stinging feeling, but no pressure and it just popped out. My roomie Holly, hers popped out easily as well.

After getting dressed I called my boyfriend and waited to go home. I was happy to see him when he got there, he drove home very slowly and tried to avoid any bumps in the road!
Once home I snuggled on the sofa, ordered pizza and fell asleep. I was up and about from half 6 today, and feeling ok. Muscle pain is still there but better to move and keep active for some of the day.

@linzim it’s a good size. I was so scared it would be too big but now I’ve got them I’m so happy. Strapping is coming off on Friday so I’ll put pics up then. Hope you get on ok, you’re in good hands and enjoy the experience.
My advice is take something like jelly babies, you’ll want the sugar afterwards as you won’t have eaten for a while. X

This is a brilliant story I went bikini shopping in Saturday and stormed out the shop as wasn’t happy and that’s why I’m here lol. My only problem is funding looking at options. My question for yourself is I have 2 young children, once I go ahead I will have family in to help but just wondered are you like bed bound just now or are you able to move about? Sorry for the random question just in my brain if I could do it or not. X

@clairefaulkner I’m moving around. Mostly because my boyfriend is at work, but also as its better to keep active for a little bit in the day. Staying still will cause you to get stiff and keeping your arms moving will also avoid any scar tissue build up.
It’s like I’ve done 5 body pump classes in a row so it’s muscular pain across my chest and the odd twinge in my boobs.
I’m generally a very active person, so I’m struggling to stay still and I’m only on day one and I’m so bored haha x

That’s really good I’m hopeing I’m going to be like that my only issue at moment is saving the money and only just started so might be a year until I get mine. It’s good to no that after the 1st day your able to move around fills me with so much more confidence. Thank you
