Hello and happy weekend evberyone!
Just wondering rough timescales about a few things (I’m 15 days post op now) :
How long until they start to soften up- my knockers are like 2 big boulders at the minute. I want them to be able to move and jiggle and to squish them!
How much longer do I have to sleep propped up? Me back’s killing me, though when I do lie down, even propped up, my boobs feel a bit sore and tingly so I have to sit up.
I want to sleep on my side. For the love of god!!
My belly is still huge. When should the bloating stop? I’m really onlt taking paracetemol and ibuprofen every now and again so had expected it to go down. I have been watching what I’m eating as I’m not as active. There’s no way this can be fat??! I’m worried now I have my lovely big boobs I’ve turned into a flippin whale!
Any help and adbvice would be appreciated…
Thanks xx
Apologies for spelling mistakes- small blackberry buttons + 7am = lots of mistakes!
Happy weekend lovely, how time flies 15 days post op,wow.
How long do they take to soften, good question, mine started to soften at the sides at around 2 weeks, well one did the other took a while longer to catch up,lol,I think the stage of softening is different for everyone honey, and although you think they feel like rocks, because you are scrutinizing them daily you wont realise that they are already starting to soften,it just seemed to happen overnight for me.
I slept propped up for ages,I suppose I got used to it,put a pillow at the bottom of your back to support you,my pillows looked like a ski slope, every couple of days I adjusted them so that I was lower, until eventually was sleeping flatter,Ive never slept on my side much honey so I dont know about that one, scared ill wrinkle my face too much, lol. The bloating should subside as you become more active,I went for short walks, not too far but just enough to get everything circulating again, you body will tell you if you are doing to much, its still early days for you.
Happy healing.xxxx
Gtown if I had your number I wd ring you right now as I know EXCTLY what you’re feeling. The boulders answer I can t giv you as I’m 5 weeks p o today and mine are still rocks. The sleep issue I can happily tell you that in about another week you’ll dare to sleep on your side for a tiny while then by week 5 you will be able to sleep on your side. I have had good sleeps the last few nights. I thought it’d never end and my husband was sick of sleeping beside a mountain of pillows. Give the bloating another week to die down but make sure you are watching your intake. I was over doing the chocolat ice cream in name of comfort. I am going to start gym next week as I really think I’m ready. Please be patient with your body and be kind to yourself. Your bod has been put thru trauma. The next two weeks uare going to change so much towards your normal life!!!!!
I promise. I’m only a few weeks ahead of you. Xxx
Anchovie- thank you so much. It just gets you down when there’s so many bad things to deal with when all you want is to be excited about your new assets! It’s always good to hget reassurance from someone who’s had the same experience though- a reason why this forum is so good! Cheers pet x
I’m the same as anchovie 5 weeks tomorrow and mine dont move yet hun but they are softening every day I got measured yesterday and try felt so comfy in a proper bra….. I’d give the bloating another week or so and if you can get yourself walking around a bit I noticed mine soon went once I walked around but don’t go far and don’t over do it Hun xx by the time your 5 weeks you will love them and be sleeping very comfy … I still use my v pillow to sleep on my side cause it’s so so comfy haha xx
Just to let you know – yesterday I went on a long bike ride and it felt amazing. I slept amazingly las night. I’m five weeks post op. I think five weeks is a landmark in this whole process. So at least you know there us light at the end of the tunnel and for you it may come sooner. Deffo try to watch ur eating even when you feel fed up eat cereal or fruit instead of chocolate and crisps. Go for gentle walks. Drink plenty water too. Get your nails done or have your hair done to cheer yourself up and help u feel pretty. The worst part is nearly over
