Hi girls, I’ve recently posted a couple of things following my BA on 20th Nov. I have pretty extreme bruising which until now thought I was just unlucky….
I visited the nurse yesterday for my 1wpo routine appointment. She noticed that one of my wounds was still bleeding. That combined with the brushing she decided to call Mr Mounir.
He said I should go straight away to first trust where he’d been operating all day. When I got there he wasn’t overly concerned however thought that we should swap the implant just to be on the safe side.
However, Those that haven’t seen, I had a traumatic evening the first time round and was rushed to a&e in an ambulance as I fell unconscious the evening of the operation. So I’m reluctant to go under again.
Has anyone been through anything similar? Am I being crazy not wanting to do go this it all again for the very small chance that there is a hematoma etc? I’m in limbo, would really appreciate advice/support! thanks xxx

    Just to note…

the boobs are GREAT! Perfect size and the right is only slightly larger (I would expect it to be a lot bigger going off the bruising). If there is anything wrong I think it’s a very rare complication that couldn’t have been avoided by Mr Mounir! It’s just one of those things….

Wow sounds like you’ve had a rough time.
When did you pass out? After coming round from the anaesthetic?

How soon after did you collapse?
Perhaps there are precautions that can be taken! And I’m sure that the nurses will be vigilant known your history!

Olivia – how bad was your bruising? Mine is shocking but not painful. Mainly under my arm, in between the boobs and on my hips. This has happened before to me just from giving a blood sample because of someone not aiming right and resolved itself, so hoping this will too. Sounds like you’ve been through the mill! Was there blood on your dressing? X

I would trust your surgeon too. Reiterate what happened last time and I should hope you’ll be fine this time. It’s completely understandable that you’re anxious, I would be too, so obviously it’s easier for me to say go ahead and do as he says xx

Hi guys, thanks for your responses!

I have attached photos of my bruising. It’s extremely sore but definitely better the past few days.!
I passed out about 8-9 hours after and was apparently shaking/fitting but I can’t remember a thing!
I 100% trust mr Mounir however he sees this as such a minor operation but doesn’t understand what I went through the evening after. I’m still not feeling normal 8dpo and can’t imagine going back to day 1 🙁

Did he tell you the reason he wanted to change them? An what would he be changing them to? I would have thought with all the trauma, the last thing you would do is do it all again so soon?? I didnt even know they could do that a week after surgery. Hope all goes well what ever you decide xx
