Has anyone removed theirs before the post op check up?

It’s so irritating and causing me more pain than necessary. I think I want to remove it on the weekend. It’s also my 21st on Monday and would love to see my new babies before then!

Whats the best way of taking it off? I imagine it’s going to hurt a little. xx

I don’t think removing it is a good idea, If you cause any damage by removing it yourself I wouldn’t imagine you’ll be covered by MYA.

@sabina I feslly wouldn’t remove it! I had mine on for full 7 days and God was it uncomfortable but it’s there for a reason. You’ve paid lots to have your boobs done so try to be patient 🙂 it’s is horrible, when I had mine removed 7 days po they pulled from one side to the other holding the skin. Felt like a slow wax not great. I’m now 4 weeks post op and glad I waited my 7 days with the strapping at the time you feel like it won’t get better but won’t be for long hun. Congratulations on the boobies just be paitent 🙂 xx

Some surgeons don’t use strapping I had my surgery a few weeks ago at mya and didn’t have strapping If you do take your strapping off just make sure you have a sports bra but call the nurse to see if you can take it off I’m so glad I didn’t have strapping seems so uncomfortable x

I was in the same situation as you hun, I had a allergic reaction to the strapping I came up in loads of rashes – but just try and deal with it as much as you can. I pulled the top bit off and hurt twice as much taking it off yourself too. Promise be worth it in the long run to see your final result – bare in mind your boobs are moving everyday xxx
