Ice to reduce swelling

I had my op yesterday & the nurse mentioned putting ice on them……don’t mean to sound stupid but does she mean something frozen on each boob & does this help swelling?! Thanks

i used ice blocks, like what you get in picnic sets. lol. but, you can get breast pads from mothercare for breastfeeding which are also good! it did help me. 20 min a time… especially with the stretching/swelling.xx
