ill and 3 days to go! ADVICE NEEDED!

Hello (Again, forever starting topics)

Wed, I had a sore throat, Thur I lost my voice a bit, Fri I pract lost my voice felt rough on the morning had a bit of cough, went to doctors he said he cant give me anything and to see how I am Monday (surgery Tues). Today Ive no voice and starting to feel a cough coming on and scared incase it gets worse! Ive informed MYA too said a nurse will ring me monday

Anybody had a cough/flu before/day of surgery, do they still go through with it??

Ive got a hotel booked and just managed to get work off, don’t want to postpone it 🙁 🙁

Hopefully ur be ok. But if you have blocked nose and can’t beath they may postpone . This happened to me but cleared in time x

Hi Hayley my son had the same thing 2 weeks ago he started with the same sore throat then had a bad chest my cough lost his voice and then had a bad cold wasn’t eating and was just drained but was back to his normal self the Monday after so fingers crossed you’ll be better x

I have this and got op in 4 weeks , thankfully got it now, get the nasal spray it unblocks your nose instantly and I’m sure your allowed it b4 the op , good luck xx

Its a strange cold, ive mainly just lost my voice and have an odd cough now and then but my nose isnt blocked , gets a little runny though, hopefully they still do it 🙁 ill let yous know on tues! Xx

I have just got over my flu I have my op Tuesday aswell xx

@hcook94 I’ve got a sore throat and runny nose and my surgery is on friday. Were you better for your op or did they just go ahead anyway? Thanks I’m panicking! Xx

I was better but still had a bit of a cough but they check you first, they do ask if you have/had a runny nose though, but literally take medicine and flu tablets for rest of the week, so hopefully you’ll be fine, try not to worry , 9you should be ok to go through but ask if you can see your nurse on thur for a heads up xx @nickyjain

@hcook94 thank you! Been looking forward to this so much I’d be devastated if it was postponed! Got some medicines and stuff so fingers crossed it’ll be okay xx
