I'm really nervous about getting the tape removed!

I had my ba on Wednesday at Manchester and got my 560cc unders. I’m taped up above and below my breasts and its stuck on practically like glue! What are your experiences of having it removed? The nurse said to take pain killers because it hurts and I’m getting a bit nervous now. The stitches are disolvable but the tape is covering the dressings. Any advice would be great thanks

hey annemarie, i removed my tape off by myself and my surgeon mr singh said to use a warm hairdryer on the tape and it does help but still hurts but not as much!! good luck

Hi Trix, thanks so much for the advice, how long after your ba did you remove it? I was thinking of phoning the nurse and letting her know I would do that bit myself then on the same day she was going to do it (7days post op) all she’ll have to do is take off the dressing then covering my stitches.

hello, i was 4days post op when i took the top and middle tape off but i didnt dare take the bottom one off cuz i was scared i would take the dressing off aswell but then i couldnt see the nurse untill i was 11 days post op so had to take it off myself as the nurse said i could and if the dressing came off just to put a plaster over the scar as it has a little bit of tape covering it.
