Impatient

I received a call Tuesday to say my op (13th March) had been cancelled and I had to rebook, the most convenient for me was 20th March, so only an extra week.

So then I had to change all my holiday off work, transport etc. Which is fine I’ve now sorted all of that. Ive just spoken to my PC who has been wonderful, she called me just to apologise, she couldn’t be more apologetic. I said it’s fine, I know how it feels to be the first point of contact as I work as a GP receptionist and having to call a patient to cancel an appointment is never easy! She then told me I have to go back to have the swabs again as my op is over 4 weeks away and they only in date for up to 5 weeks before you op, so there’s more money to get to Nottingham (about a 40 min drive) which will be my 4th visit in about 10 weeks. Then I’ve had to re book my 1 week post op appointment, the days I can’t do was offered, so my PC has had to contact my nurse to see if I can have it taken off early, if not I have to wait 9 days post op!

I just can help but think something else is going to go wrong between now and my op 🙁 starting to feel a bit fed up already. I had everything so well planned and organised now I feel like everything is messed up. Sorry for the essay girls, I just want my boobies !! ?? xx

Oh what a mess! Glad you’ve half sorted it now though. How comes they had to change the date did they say? One appointment change does change the whole lot, bit of a nightmare but itl all work itself out xx

Oh no gutted for you Hun, but at least it’s only a week, really hard to change all your arrangements tho especially when you had it all sorted, keep us posted x x x

Feel a bit better, my PC rang again about half hour ago. She spoke to then nurse and can do my “week” post op appointment a bit earlier. Nurse said she would rather see me and take off the strapping a bit earlier than leave it like later. So I’m booked in for that, which is the day I wanted (my day off work).
Then she also said the swabs she is gonna post out to me, which I’m so grateful for.

I’m feeling much better now, and my op got changed something to do with mr Kazzazi has been called to do a medical assessment or something. I know these things happen so it didn’t bother me, it was just because I felt like it had messed up everything, but I feel ok now. Roll on boobies!! Xxxx
