Implant registration

I was wondering if you have to register your implants to receive the warranty? I have mentor implants, and I’ve had issues with one of them. I contacted mentor and they have no information on me, my implants, surgery day or surgeon. If you’re not registered with mentor, do you not receive the warranty?
