Hiya, my youngest is 16 months and I’m now 20 days PO. I picked her up only a few times as and when I needed to within the first 4-5 days but have tried to avoid holding her and carrying her around as much as possible to avoid any injury. I am guessing that at 8 months she doens’t walk so I would say you’d prob need help for at least a week in my opinion.
My op was on a wednesday, both kids went to nannys until Friday and then my husband was at home until the monday when he had to go back to work. The first few days were quite tough for me as I was still very uncomfortable but my 4 yo helped to entertain my little girl so I really didn’t need to do too much.
I felt almost fine by about 10 days PO x
