I had my boobs done Sunday, I knew that under the muscle would be a more painful recovery but I didn’t realise how painful It would be.
Instead of dressings around my whole boob iv got a thin elastic strap across the top of my boob holding the implants in place.
In the cleavage of my boobs it hurts sooo much, it’s really squishy and feels so bruised and swollen. Is this normal?
It hurts every time I try to get up, also my sports bra feels like it’s too tight, I know it’s meant to be tight but it’s hard to breathe and feel it’s making the pain in my cleavage worse?
Also, my left breast since last night has gone completely numb, is this normal??

Any advice please girls I appreciate it x

Hi Rachel 🙁 Sorry to hear you’re still struggling. I never had any strapping or the elastic strap, just dressings over my incisions but I can imagine both are really uncomfortable :(.
I found my cleavage to be the most painful for the first 4 days or so, especially the very bottom of my cleavage as it felt like the skin was going to rip apart :(.
I also had huge problems with my bras- both (including a macom) were ordered in my back size as recommended but they were SO uncomfortable I felt like someone was sitting on the bottom of my boobs and making it really hard to breathe also. I sent my hubby out Friday morning (2 days post op) to m&s to get me a selection of other bras. The one I have been wearing the most is the zip up extra shock sports bra. It was SO comfortable and honestly it helped me feel instantly better. My boobs no longer felt heavy everytime i stood up as the bra was supporting them enough and it was no longer really tight underneath. I’ve also just had a macom delivered in a larger size which feels much better too.
I’m so sorry I don’t have any advice on the numbness but I honestly think it would be totally normal. Our bodys have not only just come through surgery but you have a foreign object in your body which your breasts are trying to adjust to. I keep experiencing some really strange ‘swooshing’ sensations in my implants but just assuming they are also normal.
Hope this helps a little hun x

Thank you so much that has helped me massively!
I think I might have to send someone out to get maybe a slightly bigger size, I reckon I should try 34E instead of 32!
I will let you know how I get on! Atleast what is happening to me is normal , I panic about everything haha!

Thank you again for your reply it’s really helping me xx
