Have just had my dressings changed and have seen that one of my incisions (on the left) is quite far below the natural crease of the breast. I have a line drawn on the breast where the incision was due to go but the actual cut is quite far below it. Unless my boobs drop quite a bit this scar will be visible. Any ideas why this might be? The other incision (on the right) is where I would expect it. The left breast did sit a bit higher originally but my surgeon said surgery wouldn’t correct this and it hasn’t because the nipples are still out of line. Could this be why? Never seen incision there before.

Both of my incisions were put below the natural crease, this was as the original crease sat very high, about 3cm max from nipple, the lower part of my breast was not very full, part of ‘tubular breast’ disfiguring, at the moment, 2 weeks after surgery, they are visable, but they will drop and then not be noticeable. My friend had a BA in november and noticed the incisions a lot for the first couple of months, now they have dropped, look more natural, and hide the (very well faded) scars. Hope this helps x

Thanks, that does put my mind at rest! I wasn’t sure if he’d tried to even them out by putting one slightly lower! Thankyou so much, I can stop panicking now x

Hey Princess, you had a great surgeon Hun so there will be a reason for this. And once they drop/soften/heal then I don’t think you’ll notice them at all. Just try not to look too much at the mo as you will drive yourself mad xxx
