Hi I’m getting really nervous I can’t remember how long it took for my incisions to heal last time I had my boobs done and it didn’t matter much as I had 3 weeks off work.

But this time I’ve just had my boobs done Wednesday and I’m going back to work on Tuesday!! I’m really nervous as I’m a mechanic and I’m scared about doing anything that would open the incisions…. is this possible?? It would after 6 days the incisions be healed.. they are still covered with plasters anyhow xxx thanks and sorry for essay I just don’t want to screw them up

    You’re mad, lol.

Sorry, no seriously. I’m a workshop and service manager at a garage. How are you going to raise your arms after short of a week of you’re a general tech to do Annual Services, could you tell Work you’ve had an op in that area, without divulging masses of info and just stick to diagnostic and air con re-gas etc first few days back? In all seriousness, you can’t be doing tyres/pads/discs/calipers a week after that surgery. You’ll bust those stitches right open. It’s a very physically demanding job as you know but in order to not cause yourself problems with recovery I’d advise more time off or just diag work for the first week back.

Do you think it’s possible the incisions can rip open after a week or would they be closed by then?

Atleast last time I had the op I had long enough of for them to heal but this time I have no spare holiday to take and also my surgeon said it’s fine for me to go back to work after 5 days as I’m in no pain and not restricted at all the only think standing in the way are the stupid incisions. im sure my controller will put me in light duty it’s just a bugger as we are so busy.

Il see how it goes Tuesday and report back, thanks x

    hi Nikkita
in my humble opinion if I were you i definitley wouldn’t do ANYTHING that could cause a problem with your implants especially after having issues with your previous ones. If the scar rips open your implant could fall out!!! There is no muscle supporting your implant only skin and your breast tissue ( which will take weeks and months to attach its self properly to your implant. I would go to your GP and get a doctors note to sign you off for another week. I know its really difficult to let people down, especially when work is busy, but its not worth you going through more problems with your boobs, especially when they look so good and you are happy with them. Don’t rush the healing chick, thats my advice. good luck hun with whatever u decide to do xx

As someone who also has a physically demanding job in the engineering world please be careful especially with wheels jesus christ! I’d wait at least a couple of weeks to be doing that for sure!!! We’re told no heavy lifting for 6 weeks for a reason xx

seriously Cleo is right I’ve got my on the 3rd of may and going back on the 9th but I’m and service manager so behind a desk, I wouldn’t dream of letting a female tech back to work so soon after surgery! Be careful sweetie you don’t want to do yourself any harm. X

    +1

thankyou all 🙂 my surgeon even said knowing my job that I’d be fine going back after 5 days though last time I had 3 weeks off.

I’m doing really well taking it easy not pushing myself and making full use of our apprentice for the heavy jobs. I think some of the guys think I’m “milking” it but I said that’s fine I will do it all.. have another op and take more time off then theyl be screwed so they are easing me back in thank god. I haven’t got an appointment to see my nurse yet so I’m hoping my incisions are healing nicely xxx

Hiya girls 🙂 just had my nurse appointment and she said my incisions have healed beautifully and that I can now shower! I was so worried I’d rip them open with work but they are sealed now so I can finally work properly to an extent of now hurting myself lol xxx
