Incisions having trouble healing?

I know a few of you have had some issues with your scars. Mine, I think, are taking a long time to heal. I’m sure they look infected, but I’ve been to the docs and she was adamant there’s no infection and has given me some antibiotics just incase. The right side, which is the worst one, I’m having shooting pains there now and again. And I’m sure the bra line is really bothering them.

Anyone else having trouble? Need some reassurance! x

hi laurakate – not been on for a while – im 10 weeks post op and i had trouble with my scars when i first had my dressings off, found it really hard to wear a bra as they seemed to sit right on my scar and the pain i had was sometimes unbearable. I spoke to mr t and he said mine was probably due to nerve damage and that it should resolve itself. I still have some problems with pain with my scars now and im now wearing normal underwire bras again, but i think sometimes its just where it is healing itself – just be patient and hopefully it should get better. if not i would speak to your surgeon and see what they have to say xx

Well I’m seeing a tiny improvement but they still look so angry! I put a new asda sports bra on tonight and have had to take it off cos it’s causing havoc with the scars- it’s tight and the material is harsh, I think. I’m sitting about with no bra on at the mo, just to give me some relief, but I don’t really want to sleep without a bra, to be honest. I’m defo gonna see my surgeon this week just to give me some peace of mind. Can I add you, hun? Xx
