I’m still on holiday and I have a green scab on my right nipple and inflammation below the scab. I can move the scab but it leaves a large crater :( sorry about the graphic detail. I don’t know whether to leave it in the hole and risk worse infection or wipe it off- will I get a poc mark on my nipple? When my daughter had chicken pox I remember carefully returning two large scabs into their craters and it prevented her having large pox marks on her sweet little face! Where I cd not do this she has marks!

the scab is just a seal, it wont be causing an infection. if u remove it ur leaving an open wound prone to more infection. leave the scab and try and use an anticeptic on it like TCP to reduce risk of more infection then see the nurse asap x

Its horrible but I had that when the nurse first took off the plasters and she said its just where there is no air getting to them and to leave it they drop off on there own, she said its not an infection, I was terrified but she was right they have fallen off now and no infection so defo leave the scab on hun just looks horid :( xx

the only thing i wud say about plasters is that the skin sweats underneath and the wound stays soggy… sometimes better to let the air to it to heal better as it drys em out xxxx but up to u hun xxxx ski-anns right, dont let em get wet if u do opt for plasters xxx
