infection – feel like crying!!

Had a nap earlier on today my boyfriend came to check on me as I sat up yellow watery gunk and blood started to ooze from my scar, I never imagined there to be so much, had to ring nhs direct as I couldn’t reach anyone from my clinic, I had to go see my own gp who was just down the road at the out of hours clinic, finally I got some antibiotics! I just hope they work,

Has any one else had an infection ?? If so did you just take antibiotics and was you okay ??

I’m just so scared of having to have my implant taken out….

ive not had an infection but im sure once the antibiotics kick in it will be fine, xx

I’ve had an infection and mine was a stubborn one- took about a month to clear up all together. I had 2 lots of antibiotics plus sterile dressings and ointment. I’m now fine, so as long as you’ve caught it quick you’ll be fine. I would ask the docs for sterile dressings and polyfax ointment- it worked a treat for me. xx

Try to be strong. You did the right thing and the meds should sort it out! Get lots of rest and do everything you are asked xxxx

I’m going to go to bed and try not to worry, I hope it soon starts to heal, as I have a 4yr old and 10 month old its the hardest thing when they both come over for cuddles and I have to push them away so they don’t hurt my boob,

Nearly 4 weeks. Bloody hell. Why has the doc sed its infected? Bit late on int it? X

I swore by my Savlon Spray Wound Wash – sprayed it on my scars every morning and evening xxxxxx

You poor thing. It’ll be ok. I’ve seen this happen on here before and the girl got it sorted xxxx

My cousin went with a different cosmetic surgery and that happened to her too her scar wasnt healing right then it leaked a lot of watery yellow stuff she had to go back to a surgeon who put her under GA opened the wound up properly and had to scrape the infection out they changed the implant stitched her back up and all is well a year later.

Any interference from another doctor or surgeon and your not covered with your clinic did you know?!

I think you should ask to see or speak to a nurse/surgeon from your clinic hun just for a second opinion xx

I had same experience tho mine was through mya, had to have it drained of fluid twice but it finally heeled.

Hope u heel soon, try take it easy and ask the doctor for some patches they really helpxx
