Hi girls, please take a look at pic I just posted of my incision a week after op, really scared it may be infected, it’s on the left boob, the boob has been numb for a few days so I can’t feel any pain, no fever or anything but feel a little sick?
Sorry the picture looks awful as all around the area is bruised. But at the end of the incision it has a white dot? I can’t see properly as taken this on my phone.
Please have a look and let me no!
    Thank you xxx

Ahhh really? Is that what the knot looks like? And is it meant to be white?
Sorry for all the questions haha!
I know! I never had any strapping on only had a little plaster thing over the stitches which were taken off yesterday! Wish I still had them on so scared I’m going to get one!

Do you know what they do if you do get an infection?

Yes they do look like that Hunni. And most stitches are tied up inside so quite often you get a little spot looking thing sticking out which is the knot trying to push out (obv normal as your body is fighting a forgeub substance).
An unfected incision would be red raw and extremely saw to touch. You would more than likely have a fever. The incision will probably try to open up slightly too.
My hubby had a hernia op and the incision got infected and that’s what happened, when is your next app? X
