Is a bit worried Mya said no pip implants .. Now saying they have used them :s

I have read they have used some in 2009 and a small number ruptured but I asked Mya clinic & they said they havnt used pip implants ?? I’m slightly worried now I have my ba in 10 days.

I had my BA I March 2010 and I was told they didn’t use pip. Even if they have used them in the past, they certainly won’t be now. The implants are no longer produced as far as I know. MYA use Allergan implants xx

I have my BA in 8 days. They have used them before they were then banned in 2010. My pc called me today. My implants are allegen so tbh I’m not worrying myself about it. I’m gettin pretty peeved when everyone keeps posting on here an talking about it making everyone worry when our BA is booked and just around the corner!!!! I wish everyone would stop now. They don’t use them now so we should have peace of mind!!!!!!!

Why are you worried they have said they are not using them now honey,perhaps the clinic you spoke to have no record of a patient coming through their clinic with PIP implants.They have been banned by the by Government,other members that used MYA have posted that they received confirmation on a little card as to what implants have been used,don’t worry,look forward to your new boobies.xxx

I no it just u can’t help but worry , I wish everyone would stop talking bout it 2 as its everywhere ! N as soon as u say about your ba they say I hope there not them pip ones , Thnk u everyone feel but more at ease now xx

Yeah know how u feel all my friends keep texting me. Then it makes me think. But we know what we Are doing. Our surgeons wouldn’t put us in harm. Good luck girl!!! xxx

Most people who have PIP in this country had them done years ago….most plastic surgeons don’t use them, only Allergan. This is the only implant MYA offer now. Talk to your PC and she will explain everything x

Ano it’s annoying had my mam ringing me 2 days b4 my op just checking what type of implants I was having! Then it was all over the tv on Monday when I was trying to relax (day 4 after op). Put a bit of a downer on it for me! Then there’s been loads of negative posts about problems that ppl have had with aftercare etc. We need some more happy customers to come forward and tell their stories! I’m a happy bunny my story is in the Mario Group on here. x

girls just a bit worried i had custom made implants due to the size 1500cc. not eve sure of the name of them i think sebben or some thing are they pip implants dos any one know.i got mine last july xxx

They probably weren’t, I knew a year ago they were dodgy and mya assured they do not use them and this was last January so don’t fuss love. Stressing for no reason

Hi Elizabeth. Please try not to worry. I will flag this on Monday and get your PC to call you to confirm what implants you have.

In reference to one of the posts above – i think it is important that ppl do post on here about their knowledge and offer info on PIPS implants i dont think pl “are just going on about it”!!!!!!! and if your peeved – simple dont read the posts…….

It is very worrying to see all press about PIPS,but for members pre op awaiting surgery rest assured they have been banned,no companies will be using them,your friends and family contacting you,are doing this because of the bad press and just want to make sure you will be ok,they obviously care about you a lot,for post op members that are worried contact your PC,MYA have made a statement and offered their help,what more can they do.I have seen a few posts recently where people have said that they were unhappy with the MYA after care,anyone reading the statement from MYA,should have no doubt in their mind now that the after care is excellent.MYA are willing to try resolve any issues re the PIP implants,you only have to look at the press to see that other companies,are not as accommodating.In my opinion if you have chosen MYA you have made the right choice.

I received a private message 2 days ago from a member saying she had been told that I work for MYA,the member said that she thought she would ask as I seem to defend MYA.I don’t think praising a company for given me what has been one of the best experiences of my life,is defending them,I DO NOT work for MYA,I devote my time to this forum because I had no support when I had my BA,when I found this forum,I thought it would be a big help to members if I could share my experience,in the hope of reassuring them,and helping them through their journeys.I will continue to recommend MYA based on the wonderful experience they have given me,the after care I am currently receiving and the many months I have spent researching their competitors.xxx

In my job u only ever hear back from ppl who have something negative to say whereas all the ppl who are happy with a service never bother to get in touch! I don’t mind negative posts as such but just wouldn’t of minded seeing some positive ones leading up to my op! Anyway the facts are that MYA are NOT using pip implants. x
