Hey hun how much more swollen? Is it like ur left is an orange and the right is a melon? Is it hot to touch and looks really sore? If you are really concerned you should contact Mya and ask for a nurse.

I emailed pics through after speaking with a nurse when I was worried and the nurse called me straight back. Depending on the size of the swelling and hotness it can sometimes be an infection. But call to be on the safe side and steer clear of ibroprofen as its not good for the blood whilst healing. Fxx

Hiya chick, I’ve had burning but it’s only been on my incision so I thought maybe it’s just healing? So I’ve just left it, it’s kinda like a itchy burning irratating feeling. If you are worried I would defo speak your nurse I hope you’re feeling alright! Xx

Fran, when your saying steer away from ibuprofen.. that’s what I’ve been given? I was given paracetamol and ibuprofen for pain? Xx

Im 5 days post op my pain just started to decrease yesterday mine have both been red hot since the op but im very hot allover, but despite feeling hot my temp is normal so ive not worried about it just thinking its all part of the healing process, my bruising stated to come out yesterday and the swelling has gone down a bit overnight, the recovery has been allot harder than i expected but i have circumstances at home which have impacted that, mine is burning more on the right but there both the same size and both the same firmness so im sure everything is fine so ive not called the nurse so far x

Hiya @meganhxx if that’s what you have been given fair enough but I was advised on my paperwork from my surgeon (Dr. FIUMARA) and told not to take it pre and post op (2wks both sides) whilst healing. Each surgeon is different but ibuprofen is a blood thinner as is aspirin, neurogenic and voltarol.

It can cause complications such as seroma and around the time I had my op in Dec a girl had to have a re op a few days after her ba due to taking ibuprofen as prescribed by her surgeon and it led to her having seroma. She was in a lot of pain and her breast had swollen up massively was burning hot and red.

Obviously I’m not a doctor but I’ve done a lot of research and always check the meds I’m given in relation to my symptoms or health.

I had an uplift and implants and just took paracetamol, muscle relaxants (I has under the muscle) and my antibiotics. The cocodemol made me really ill so I just swapped for paracetamol and I was ok but everyone’s different. Apologies if I’ve worried anyone as this wasnt my intention but always double check and query side effects.

I’ve woken up with crazy burning sensations in my incisions! The scar itself is raised but doesn’t feel swollen, is that normal?! 🙁 xx
