Is it normal to be sleeping a lot Post Op?

Im only on day 1 so sounds silly to ask this question but i literally can not stay awake, just wanted to hear any of you girl’s experiences, Im just making sure….

I slept a lot yesterday and some more today but tried to walk about more today n stay mobile anaesthetic is still in ur system for 24 hrs bub x

Hi yes I was so sleepy post op and still am really I am 2 days post op. x

Its the paun killers as wel. I wish I could bloody sleep I have a 2 year old haha xx

I must admit I get sleepy when I take my pain relief.
I have taken co dydramol before if I have bad headache but never makes me sleepy. But think its coz anaesthetic takes a while to get out of your system c

I slept for 4 days after mine, I would wake up in the morning have a wash and some breakfast then sleep until mid afternoon I’d be awake for a few hours then I’d go back to sleep around 9 and sleep all night, I’ve never slept so well think it was the medication it knocked me out. X

I would just fall asleep in the middle of texting someone. Would wake up with phone still upright in my hand. Or talking to hubby and I would start slurring my words and my eyes would just shut.

I slept so much in the first week.
