is it supossed to be this uncomftable :( day 3 rhino

I’m not a wuss lol I’ve got 4 tatts and various piercings, but I feel really bad today my eyes are so swollen and sore and purple, I would post a pic but I might scare people, my nose is constatly wet which makes my nose feel stingy and sore at the bottom and its constantly blocked aswell, and every nown and again ill get a sharp pain in my nose, I actually have to take the painkillers I need them lol, I heard people say this was painless, umm no its not I do actually feel like my nose has been abused lol, I’m only on day 3 so the 1st few days are the worst, but hope this is normal, I’m prob just being paranoid and the end result will make me forget all about this xx

I am 5 weeks PO now and I remember I did not have any paid really, but it was uncomfortable. However my face and eyes were soooo swollen and bruised, I thought it will never get back to normal Of course it did. Day 2,3 and 4 were the worst for me, then it got better every day (slowly but surely). So maybe you should call the nurse if it doesn’t get better soon. I guess you are running out of painkillers soon (the ones they give you in hospital last around 5 days I think).

hey….. im two weeks post op today. first week is horrible i just was in and out of sleep! then week two i felt like me again but just didnt look it. to be honest i didnt think about the after affect!!!! i got my cast of and im really swollen i look like an avatar! so i think its gonna be a long road!!!! but we all no it will be worth it in the end and love your little noses ur pain is normal i had it as long as the sharp pain isnt all the time, as in allll the time! i always ring the nurses so if u feel u want to do cause they made me feel better. hope u feel better now xxxxx

Hey honey, I was exactly the same! Had a bit of a panic attack day 2 post op cos the inside of my nose closed up completely! My face was 3 times the size & my eyes were black & swollen! Have a look at my pics..sure it will make you feel better. It’s all normal I promise you. I rang the on call nurse & she said time is the only healer and that rhino is one of the worst recovery processes of all cosmetic surgery.

I put ice packs on my cheeks and this really helped. Day 3 PO I felt so much better so hoping you feel a bit brighter today! I’m not a wuss either but wasn’t prepared for not being able to breathe properly! I’m 2 weeks PO now & still bunged up & can’t breathe through my nose but I’m getting used to it now

Its now nearly day 6 and I’m so much better I didn’t even need painkillers yesterday or today stitches feel fine now too I was panicin the other day cause they were stinging I over though things and was thibking what if there infected and my nose gets a massive hole or something lol but there healing so well now, get my stitches out monday aswell, just need this swelling to go down in my face, as if my face wasent round enough beforehand! Also my nose keeps itching! Soo bugging but itching means healing so that’s okay xx
