Had my op this mornin but realllyyyyy wanna have a shower in the morning, specially with all this clammy weather! The nurses didn’t mention anything about when to shower but I’ve read on here most girls have waited at least 5 days. Anyone showered this soon? What’s the best way to keep the plasters dry?xx

You need to wait until your PO appointment with your nurse. If your scars get wet (even slightly) when they haven’t knitted together properly, they could open and get infected. This could result in your implant/s having to be removed – not worth it!! Have a shallow bath, that’s what most girls do :) xx

Have a shallow bath, that’s what I did, then just washed my hair leaning over the bath xx

Thanks girls, will deffo wait. I think I can handle feeling abit stinky if it means not risking infection. Just feels so grim!xx

This feels a little weird but I have been getting my sis to hold the shower at waist level and I stand in the bath and have a bit of a wash around down there and then she does my back for me. Top half just been doing with wet wipes or a flannel though. 5 days post op now and really need to shave my underarms :(
