Hun don’t worry, if you feel very self concious without makeup just wear it to the hospital and take makeup wipes with you. You can remove it just before you go down to have your op and put it back on before you leave the hospital later that day or the next day. Honestly no one will even take any notice that your not wearing makeup anyway try not to worry .xxx

I’ve got a reminder on my phone that when I get out of the shower tomorrow I am to just put my clothes on urgh! no deodorant, make-up, nail polish, moisturiser, jewellery!! I’m planning to moisturise everywhere tonight, and will have a shower in the morning so I assume that’s ok?? x

At the end of the day if you put un-obvious make up etc on and they ask you if u have any and u say no then thats that! But u gota remember it really is a big infection risk.. if the make up gets anywhere near your incisions it could cause a bad infection.. i know its unlikely just depends whether its worth the risk to you!!

I dont leave the house without make up! But in there i wasnt bothered at all, i priobs looked like death!haha x

Completely agree with tonesx… It is an infection risk which is why they say no make up no nails no tan no deoderant and no moisturiser. Is it really worth taking a risk like that just to keep a bit of make up on for a 45min op that your asleep for anyways? I’m a nurse auxilliary and am told am not even allowed to wear makeup to work! Thats on a ward not an operating theatre. Think about it girls xx
