Is someone suppose to call??

I had my ba on wednesday so i am now nearly 5 days post op and i haven’t heard anything. I thought that, my pc or nurse would of phoned to see how i am doing 😯 its not like i have a ba everyday .

Are they supposed to ring or am i expecting too much?? x x

Hey hun, I think from other chats on here it really varies by PC. I had a call from my PC and the nurse the day after surgery, but some girls dont get a call at all.

Should really be the same aftercare across the board though xx

I thought so, my pc also said she was going to ring me the day before my op to check i was ready and that and she didn’t do that either! xx

Yeah everyone should be treat the same, it shouldn’t matter what pc you have. I don’t think its right good that no one has been in touch. x x

There has been many queries related to girls PCs on this forum and what they are actually there for.. some girls PC’s are great and some completly suck. xx

Im really surprised that this happens,or dosent, surely if your pc dosent call you she isnt following up her work in theory.how do they get away with it,and whos making sure they are doing there jobs.some PCs seem excellent other just seem to go on holiday, but no back up is put in place for the patients.xxx

I don’t think it’s very professional that no one has been in touch. It’s like now they have your money they don’t care how you are afterwards, its ridiculous!! x x

Yeah i might message the moderator, i just think i have paid a lot of money and expect to get some decent aftercare which i don’t feel i am getting at the moment. Thanks girls. x x

Ur nurse rather than pc,is ment to ring i think if u get a caring pc,then they will mine did day before and day after xx

i had my op same day as you and the nurse rang me to check i was ok, that was on friday. Im sorry no one has called you, don’t understand how they can ring some and not others. I think MYA should ensure that everyone has a courtesy call to check regardless!!

I didn’t get a call either. My PC was on hol so fair enough, got a call from her 3 wks after. But the nurse said she’d ring the day after my op and didn’t call till 1 week later. They’re not bothered tbh. I don’t think it’s deliberate, just that they’re busy and like most sales companies, their money comes from new business. Ah well.

My pc said shed call b4 my op to see how I was doing…. Didn’t then the day after op she call for about one min to c ‘if I was ok’ but couldn’t get off the phone quick enough. I wanted to ask her something n had to say I haven’t finished yet I wanna ask u something. In the beginning she was great but then I hand over the money n boom… It doesn’t matter what I want think need anymore. I know 4 a fact if I said I was gonna phone someone I’d do it. Is it really that hard to pick up the phone, have a chat n sound like u care, rather she did care but hey if she doesn’t then I try n make me think she did!! Oh sorry xx
