Hey girls, lots of bra talk today lol, well firstly i’ve decided im going to get a MaCom bra as im not sure what cup size im gunna be etc… and really want a front fastening bra at first but i have seen a really nice “cheap” bra for when i go out etc… Im not sure if it is suitable though as not seen a Matalan bra mentioned before, would you mind taking a look and letting me know if this will be suitable? It looks nice even nicer than the asda ones i think, im also struggling to find an asda one in my size. thanks xxx
with the macom bras you only buy them for your back size, they dont have a cup size as they are expandable for size. Example i was a 34a pre op so i bought a size 34 macom bra xxx
Yea thats whats swayed me into getting one for first few weeks but i really want to find a nice one for going out in too did you not swell much? i measure 28″ underneat which makes me a 32 back size so would i just but a small? xx
yea i wish i had bought the large macom bra cuz mine is quite tight after swelling. as i say mine is a 34 back which is a medium. so maybe youd be better off getting a medium macom?? xx
Sandy what do you measure around your ribs, under your boobs? I’m 29, making me 34 in a bra should I buy a large or medium? x
oh belle sorry hun i have no idea?! i just kno tht im normally a 34 back and the medium macom bra is a little to tight for me. id be better with a large one xx
http://www.recovapostsurgery.com/Bras/Cooling_Surgical_Bra/ this one is pricey but looks really good, it has lil ice packs as well x
alot of the most recent posts suggest u shudnt wear macom bras cz there front fastening and can pull your breast in too much
i couldnt imagine having a back fastening bra the 1st 10days post op though? However i have stopped wearing my macom as much now, think its stopping my boobs from dropping im sure of it! xxx
Is that matalan bra underwired tho i cant tell. I quite like the cooling bra, pricey tho.
I have the macom 1007b tank bra and now just use it to sleep in, i’ve found my boobs are tender/ache tho in a asda sports/post surgery bra but i cant wear anything with the macom cos its so high. Be glad when i can wear normal bras lol. xx
i’ve gone for MaCom now, cant be doing with guessing cup sizes, gunna get a cheap sports bra a few das after surgery xx
Hi Christine,
I originally bought a macom bra online, medium for 34 back, but it was a bit too snug, so I sent it back and ordered the large one. After my op it was so tight! My bf ran out quick and got me a couple of sports bras from the local supermarket 40DD, which I didn’t even suggest and were absolutly fine! I’m 6 weeks post op now and been wearing supportive vests from asda for the past week which are really comfortable. I haven’t had time to go out and buy bras as yet, or even get measured. Mr nurse thinks I may be 34DD/E.
I think the key point I’m trying to make is to make sure YOUR new breasts feel supported after your op and as long as your comfortable. For the first 6 weeks anyway, after that you’ll prob throw away your sports bras and buy a whole new range of sexy underwear!. Hope this helps xxx
