Is this normal?

Hey girls!

well ive just took my tiny steri strips off as ive been scared to all week to reveal very mancy stitches! theyre black and scabby and have like a blood mark that looks like the stitch has opened up or something but i think it is just a blood mark, will upload the photo now and tell me what you think or if this is normal?

carla try going over the area with a cotton bud and boiled salty water (let it cool) then try and wipe away the dried blood. Be very gentle. It’ll give you a better idea of whats dried blood and whats the skin.

Ring your nurse before you do anything! I really wouldn’t recommend touching it hun. You don’t want to make it worse. x

Thanks girls i think the blood mark is just the scabby part cos i touched it all abit and you could feel it was all the scabs just find it weird theyre black any of you had this? they feel perfectly normal as i peeled the steri strip off tho some of the black scabbyness came off with it and bits were it came off its just the normal mark you have so i think its normal? xxx

sounds about normal for stitches as ive had many in my time hahah… unless theres a bad smell, puss, the areas red angry and hot.. i doubt theres anything wrong with it xxx

Aw oki thanks hun no just bloody scab mark ive uploaded pic put theres no puss or anything like that going out tonight so was panicking! didnt want it ruining my night out! ha ha xxx

looks like a healthy scar in my opinion.. now im no nurse but ive had big scars , little scars, major surgery scars… u wont even see that when its healed fully looks well neat xxx

Aw oki thanks hun! was panicking when i first saw them cos of them being black, havent had stitched before tbh, so does all the black scabby-ness come off? sorry im usless! lol

boobies also got drunk last night so about a million randum guys kept shoving stickers from the club on my boobs of course dress over them tho! was like nooo dont touch them! ha ha! xxx
