Is this normal.. Gettin worried ?

Im 11 days post op and my left boob is swollen at the top and feels bruised up to my armpit and that nipple is more swollen then the right, the right has no pain and no swelling.. Also when i lift my left arm it feels like ive pulled a muscle ? As anyone elses boobs felt different im scared i mite have a heamatoma or capsuler contracture or something ?x

Hi Hun you have to treat them like to separate ops one of mine healed quicker than the other if ur really worried though just call the nurse xx

It’s normal hun my left felt like that too I was also worried nurse Jus said it was taking abit longer to settle than the other and 11 days po is stil so early mine was like it at 3.5wks so don’t worry about it xx

It sounds similar to what I had which turned out to be a hematoma and fluid build up. Dont worry though, just contact your nurse – she will know best. But do trust your instincts if you feel there may be something wrong, I wish I’d acted earlier! xx

Hi bethy did you have and visable bruising ? And what happened in the rnd did you have to go n be looked at and operated on ?x

I dont know wether just to wait and see if it gets better as im still only 11 days po x

Yes I had quite a lot of visible bruising / swelling. I went to see my surgeon and he gave me antibiotics and anti inflamatories, and said it’d go down slowly by itself. However a couple of days later, my boob started leaking out of a tiny hole in my scar (the fluid pressure had opened it slightly), and it sort of drained itself – much to my shock!! Still have the hematoma though but it could take months to go completely. I can feel it, like hard lumpiness down my left side….it’s going gradually.

If you are concerned, ask to make an appointment with your nurse – you’ve payed a lot of money and you need to have your mind put at rest xx

I havent got any visable bruising so i think ill give it a couple of weeks and see if theres any improvement, the swellings not noticible to the eye either its just the feel. I think when i hear other people talkin about hematomas and cc it makes me worry that ive got it. Thanks for the advice everyone x
