Itchy and sore scars!

i say scars, im only a week post op tomorrow so i guess more like wounds.. anyway they are soo itchy and sore all the time and its getting so unbearable, is this normal? Is there anyway to calm it down/stop it?

Also its my 1 week check up on wednesday, is this when i’ll get my plasters off? plus are they taking my stitches out? do i even have stiches to be taken out or are they disolvable?

Id love to no the same im 3 days po and this tape is killing me plus it stinks as have it right under my pits and it makes u seweat

itchiing its normal hun its your bodys way of telling u its healing, if in doubt though giveyour nurse a ring im sure she can clear things up for you

at your 1 week the nurse with check your scars and replace the steri strip with a clean one,most people have disolvable stitches but it depends on the surgeon,if your unsure give your nurse a ringxx

Thanks girls, i suppose if its a good sign then even though its annoying i can put up with it. when do you get the tape off your scars then i thought it was a week po? xx

is yours right under your arm pits mine is horrible and is lose on my boobs but tight everywhere else

yeah it goes right under, where the draining tubes where. i know what you mean the smell rubs off on the tape no mine are tight, cant imagine how having loose tape must be, id be so tempted to pick at it! xx
