itchy wound :-/

hey girls, just wondered if any of u have reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallly itchy incisions? my left one is driving me nuts at times lol xx

Oh I’ve been good and gritting my teeth but it is driving me mad!!!! Would love to take my dressings off and give them a good itch! Apparently a cold blast of the hair drier is good! (Think i’ll be reaching for that soon)!

Me too…. only two days post op and I’m trying my best not to itch, but think I’m going to wear a hole in my top and bra if the itching carries on!!! Dont think it helps the weather is boiling hot!!

How long is it meant to last? Is it better after ya incision tape thingy’s are off?

yeah I think so, the itching is supposed to mean they are healing but feel like ripping the bloody dressings off! I think it’ll be better once the air can get to them. I don’t have my nurse appt till a week saturday, so I’ve got over another week till it comes off!

hi girls i had same the nurse told me to pat scares dry after shower then cool blast with hair drier realy helped itch is almost gone just have it first thing in the morning also this is when i ache the most 4 weeks post op now but my scares look amazing xxx

lol thing is its jus the scar that wasnt healing properly thats the bugger ive still got a dressing on that one xx must be healing now tho lol xx

Ooo i just read this in delight that im not the only one! only my left is itching at the moment! does this mean theyre healing did you say?.. i only had my surgery weds to! WOOO! its only just started itching and i was there scratching at it like nothing was there then realised and almost had a panic attack! lol, gonna just try my best to leave them to itch if theyre healing = good twinnies! ^^ x

Apparently piriton might help with the itching – ask your nurse first though coz all us ladies who have just had them done are still on painkillers etc so gotta be careful it doesn’t react.

Can’t believe I’m still up at 12.55am on this forum – I gotta get some rest ha ha!!!

Ha oo god i know im exact same! been awake since 6am also! cant wait to be able snuggle on my side again!, im not to bad with the itching at mo, hate taking tablets also! these ones ive been given are making my belly HUUUGE! anyone else had this affect from them? x

Trying to sleep on my reclining chair downstairs – just can’t sleep. Have taken my painkillers, just hope they kick in soon – I’m not even in any pain, just want to get to kip!!!

Carla I thought the same..I look huge and bloated..antibiotics and tramadol making me feel sick so mum got me some antisickness tablets which have helped..can’t wait to get nails back on tomorrow! Have u took ur stockings off yet? X

Thank god – I was looking at myself today thinking my tums gone bigger, sounds gross but I’m also peeing for Wales. Is it the tablets, coz I’m not actually drinking anymore than normal. Gross!!!!!

Well I weighed last week and I was 8 stone 5 now I’m bloomin 9 stone WTF!!! I know I stuffed my face this week but c’mon give a girl a break!! (OK I am carrying an extra lb in each boob ha ha!!!!)

Hey hun, yeahh was to do with blood clots during surgery I think and got told keep them on, took mine off today, may just be something preston just does? don’t understand why but I wouldn’t worry chick if not all places use them and if the surgery all went well? x

Im itchy, I’m bloated, I wee so much, I have no nipple sensation and I get really crabby after about 6pm!!

But I have no pain and havnt really had any at all.

😆 so funny itchin ya boobs wondering what he is looking at! I sometimes hold mine when they are contracting because it’s painful then realise what im doing. People just looking thinking umm she obviously loves her boobies lol. Mine arn’t itching today thank christ!

My nurse gave me my socks after surgery and said you might wanna wear these when you come out of hospital and I didn’t. It’s not compulsory more if ya laying around alot not moving). x

Been more sore today than yesterday, but the itching is driven me nuts still. Coz it’s so hot and the Macom bra is a lovely 100% polyester think it’s making it worse! How long till the swelling goes down so you get an idea of what size you’ll be? My hubby and I are still debating what sorta size I’ll turn out.

im not as sore today and the itching comes n goes, think the swelling starts to go down in a week or so?? not 100% sure tho, im thinking i will be a full D cup which is what i wanted xx

I work in an office, all girls, one guy. What will that be like if I’m standing at the photocopier clawing away at my boobs! lol. They looks you girls must get. Happy scratching thats what I say.
