It’s all done!!

Well Girls, I’m back with my boobs!
Firstly I want to say to any pre op ladies, please don’t panic. It wasn’t anywhere near as bad as I expected…..there was nothing bad about it and I actually enjoyed it a little. Probably because I was so excited!
Anyway, I set off from Cardiff about 11pm, found the hotel my mum was staying in, then got to highgate for 3pm.
I signed a few papers, then was shown to my room. Room was lovely and clean, had everything you needed!
The nurse came in to see me, went through a few questions, checked I had no jewellery on, nail varnish etc. Tool blood pressure (the usual), then told me to change in to my gown, sexy stockings and even sexier paper knickers.

The anethasist ( however u spell it) came in soon after to explain everything and then it was just the waiting game! Luckily I had been texting Jen (on this forum) who was going in before me. Come 5pm, she still hadn’t gone in so I was expecting a wait!
6.00pm Mr Adamo came in and explained to me that there was a mix up. He hadn’t started operating until 3pm and had only done 2 ops…..Sky, I think he had just done yours?! he had 7 on the list in total!!. He was obviously quite annoyed as his patients were left waiting for so long. He even had to cancel the 3 after me untill the following morning. I felt so sorry for those girls!

We went through the sizes again and I opted for the 340’s….chickened out with the 380’s!
He did his drawings on me and said he would see mr in an hour. By now, nerves had gone and I was just bored of waiting and wanted to get down there!

Next thing, the nurse came and got me and took me to theatre. I said a quick bye to my mum, no tears, and walked to theatre. They undo your gown and ask u to take your arms out. I started shaking a bit once on the table, so she put the needle in and u started to feel a bit weird. She said she’s given me a small dose already. She then put the oxygen mask on and told me u was going to fall asleep soon. I had a quick look at the clock and it was 7.10pm.

Next thing, I wake up with a lovely heater blowing under my sheets. I looked at the clock again and it was 8.15pm! How quick!
In recovery I didn’t stop talking. God knows what about, but I think all surgeons, theatre people were getting ready to go home as they were all in there laughing at me. It was like I was a nice tipsy drunk, lol!

In all honesty, my boobs didn’t look that big when I looked down… But a lot bigger than before.
I had no pain, I just kept telling them that it felt like I had been to the gym and pulled my
muscles!

So, I went back to my room, and again didn’t shut up! I was talking non stop!
Had some tea and toast as I was starving and felt fine. It was the first time I’d ever gone under and didn’t know how I’d be, but I felt nothing after….apart from high! Ha!
Was a bit wobbly when I went to the toilet,but as soon as I had stood up the once, I was fine!

My mum left at about 9.30pm as my eyes were pretty sleepy. I tried to kip but just couldn’t…I think I was still high from the anasthetic, and super excited!
I had a peek at my boobs in the mirror and they looked BIG!!! But not too big, I was so so pleased!

Luckily Jen who was upstairs was wide awake and we were texting one another,comparing our boobies, lol!

I tried to go to sleep at about 11pm but couldn’t so asked for sleeping tablets….they didn’t work either!
I accidently pulled out my canulla in the night…so that panicked me a bit but luckily was fine!

I woke up at 6.00am and the nurse was in shortly after to take blood pressure etc.
I had my brekkie, scrambled egg on toast and tea. I had extra toast as I was still hungry!

They let me go and see Jen in her room, and whilst I was up there, a lady from MYA came to see us to apologise for the confusion which was nice and to see if we had any complaints.

Anyway, I went back to my room, had a wash, brushed my teeth,got dressed, then Mr Adamo came in about 8.30, had a look at my boobs and said I was good to go!
I was on the road back to Cardiff at 9.00am!

Well, that’s my story!
My stats are-
5.6″
Size 8-10
had 340cc high profile
32b before…now wearing 34d bra, although not sure if it’s too small?!

i cant decide between 285 and 310. did dr adamo recommend the 340 for you?

Parisa, yeah, I’m glad I went for 340cc. I suppose I could have gone bigger, but they look the right size for my frame. Mr Adamo thought 380, but I was so unsure and my gut feeling was to go for 340, so I stuck with that.
Hav u been to see him yet for consultation?

Sky!! Oh I know, would hav loved to hav met u! Bit of a nightmare wasn’t it….it was just the waiting and the not knowing that was worse!
I’m feeling fine Hun, how are you? Mine are quite high still, and v pointy, lol!
They feel really heavy, like they are falling out the bottom, haha!

ya i saw him on thursday. he suggests the 310 but i recon 285 is better for me, but just worried and think i should go with what he says cuz he’s the expert, but now that you said this i might stick to my instincts aswell, cuz he could be wrong!
its really frustrating, i just want the next 12 days to go by FAST!

Parisa, just decide on the day. I still didn’t know when he came in, but as soon as I had to decide, I knew I had to go with what I thought was right. I’m happy I went with 340,don’t want them to shrink though! Lol!

I know Emma, I cant believe it’s all over either….i’d hav it done all over again too!

Hey Kaz, hehe, it was an exciting day! I’m still excited from it now!
My mum stayed in the muswell hill hotel, it’s literally 5 mins from highgate hosp. There’s carparking both in hotel and hospital….mum parked in hospital them got taxi to and from hotel.
