Its just hit home…….:(

that my poor boobies are going to be pretty badly scarred from the uplift. Im 4 weeks post op on tue and the nurse tells me im healing really well which i feel lucky for, but now the scabs n stiches n dressings are mostly gone and u can see properly the long red scars its a bit gutting cos i had a virtually invisible tiny scar from my first ba underneath . Dont get me wrong, i needed the lift to achieve a good shape which mario did well, but i guess i was so relieved in the first couple weeks to get the PIPs out, plus i knew it had to be a trade off that i was trying not to worry too much about scarring. Think this must be the booby blues i have read about, maybe im just havin a few off days, did any of u girls feel like this after a few weeks? Sorry for waffling :)xx

Hun scars can take two years to fade fully, a few weeks is no time at all. If your really worried about them, try vitamin e oil, obv wait until your six week clear, but vitamin e oil breaks down scar tissue, and really does reduce the look of them xx

Hello, I’ve not had my surgery yet but I can sort of understand why u are so concerned over your scars, I know I would be the same! You must keep thinking that they will look fab but it’s going to take time. It’s rubbish that we have to wait for for great results cos we want them immediately. Keep smiling. I’ve added u, hope that’s ok. I’m having mario for BA and nipple lift soon! X

Thanks joanna, i never used anythin on my scar last time cos it wasnt adviced or anythin but im thinkin i defo will this time, i saw one of the girls post about half price bio oil on here recently so was wonderin about that x

I used bit e oil on a scar on my foot from snapping my Achilles tendon, now the scar looks like a crease only, and that’s only three years old, using the oil made it thin and white within a year, I know a foot scar is different to boob ones, but it still works the same.

I think your scars look amazing, mine are red and raised and look awful xx

Got to be honest I was expecting a lot worse when I read this! Honestly I don’t think they look bad at all! I’m booked in with mario June 30th for ba and uplift and if my scars end up like yours I’ll be really happy! I’m sure they will fade nicely! What size did u have? Xx

I’m with Lindsey on this one hun – I think they look fine especially considering it’s early days. I’m having the same procedure in june and have been worrying about the scars but after seeing your pics I actually feel better about it. They will keep improving all the time so chin up hun xx

Awwe thanks kiki and lindsey, thats so reassuring to know you dont think they are that bad, maybe its cos im comparing them to when i just had the small scar underneath from the first ba, i suppose us girls are never happy eh . Lindsey i had 470s, that was biggest mario wud go with a lift as well, i dont want to sound all negative cos i am happy with the shape and size is ok, makes me a d/dd depending where i go for bra. And i know mario did a good job cos a lift is always going to leave scarring, so im not blaming him, its just my perception i think. Thats good to hear about the bio oil joanna, a scar anywhere on your body should respond the same hopfully so im goin to order some from the net. Has your surgeon said why your scars are still raised, does he think thats normal for the stage your at? xx

And thanks princess, your totally right that having to wait is rubbish, it wud be lovely to get the results we see in our minds in reality right away! Im sure mario will do a great job for you cos whoever does the surgery there will be scars and ive seen some really neat nipple lifts from some of the girls on here xx

470? Really? Well I think I’ll make another appointment and try to get him to go bigger! Yours look amazing honestly! I was really worried about the scars as they are there for life but after seeing yours I’m not worried! They look great now so when they are healed I doubt you will be able to notice them how are you feeling after op? Are you mobile etc? That’s another worry of mine is the recovery after op xx

Hey lozzalooloo, I didn’t have an uplift just a BA but I’ve looked at your pics and considering you’re only 4 weeks post op I think it looks to me that your scars are healing really well and they are looking good (as far as scars can!). I’m 7 weeks post op and mine are still much more red/darkish than yours but my surgeon thought these were normal and nothing to worry about. I understand it is hard when it’s your body and you feel like things aren’t perfect or how you wanted or expected them to be. But give it time and I’m sure they will fade even more in the long term as you heal, especially when you can start to massage them with bio oil or cocoa butter which is meant to help and break down the scar tissue. x

Awwe thanks lindsey, natalie and candyfloss, glad u dont see them as bad, its reassuring, and thanks for the support. What size were u offered lindsey? I had 435 pips in before so i think thats why i was allowed to stay around a similar size. Recovery to be honest hasnt been bad as id thought, ive got two little ns and was up seeing to them with help on the day after altho i definitly needed my mum there for picking up and other things. Pain wise its very stingy when u wake up but that settles pretty quick , i used cocodomol for 3 days then felt ok without. Do you have young children cos id say thats when u will need more help. Heather i will be 4 weeks po on tues, do u have any recent pics up cos that wud be great to see how yours have settled and maybe get an idea of what mine will hopfully go like, sounds like you have healed really well. Thats no problem meriem, ile accept now xx

Biggest I got offered was 340 but I think that size is very common for marrio to suggest so I’m deff going to push him for more, I know he’s very much for the natural look but I’m not bothered lol! Yeh I have a son who’s 8 but he’s also autistic so I know it’s going to be hard work! Hopefully I can use a bit of respite for the first few days! Do you think 4 or 5 nights to recover is enough? Glad to hear your doing well after op and also about you feeling better about scars xx

Thanks hun. I reckon if u can get respite for around 4 or 5 nights then you should be fine, does your little boy need to be picked up or carried? Thats the hardest thing to get round cos u just cant do it or it risks popping the stiches. I wud defo push for bigger if thats what u want, mario does go for the natural look ive been told as well, but the size i got doesnt look that big at all and still natural size wise, in fact everyone i kno says they look smaller than before cos he took away tissue which must have counteracted the slightly extra cc xxx
