just a few questions

ok, so i’ve just signed up on MFI so i wont be having surgery for a while, but i just wondered whether you could anwer some of my questions,

1. can anybody have a day case or do you need to live close to the hospital?

2. how soon after surgery can you drive?

3. has anybody been limited when choosing implants due to ther frame? like did you want to be bigger but it wasn’t physically possible?

1) i think anyone can have a daycase if your medically fit n have no complications after, tho i was told i wouldnt be allowed a day case as i suffer from low platelets (where blood dont clot aswell as it should, therefore was high risk of bleeding)

2) i dont drive so cant answer this one hun, but i guess you know your own body, so if it hurts, dont do it.maybe give it a week or two to be on the safe side.

3) i had 4 diff consults, two said i could have 340cc, then another said 360cc, but my actual surgeon said i could only have 260cc, but in the end i woke up with 310cc! lol, that was apparantly the biggest he could fit in, tho now i wish i coulda had gone for the 360cc xx

hi thanks for that, what size were you before? and what size are you now? i have a picture in my head of how big i want to be but dont know what size if that meks sense? xx oh an 1 more question, im annemic and always have been since i had my 1st child 5 yrs ago, do you think this will affect anything? xx

you can drive one week after surgery…and its fine! Im 10 days post op and drove 7 days on…just take it easy !

Hi Christine, to be a day case you do need to live nearer to the hospital. Ideally within an hour’s drive. You need to speak to your Patient Co-ordinator about this. The surgeon will give advice about implant sizes. It all depends on your 3 dimensional measurements. Hope this helps!
