    Hi everyone,
I forgot to mention I had the 700cc’s under the muscle…
Though it is meant to be more painful I felt hardly any pain and it does stop the implant falling/ drooping in years to come as they are supported by the muscle. My first BA was done under the muscle and my boobs never moved in 10 years.
Again I hope this helps anyone who may be wondering whether to have over or under…

    Hiya Kellg
No your not weak…I’ll tell you how i felt…I thought oh what happens if I dont wake up..was it worth it for vanity as I have a 15 month old baby!! I’m not sure what area you are from but I live in Middlesex so the MYA hospital was Highgate London. The worst part for me is being put to sleep its funny really because you have no control somebody is injecting an anesthetic in to you and you are in their hands… I totally understand!! However at Highgate the anetiatist was sooo funny , im originally from Leeds and he was cracking jokes about my accent etc and he really made me laugh. I remember being injected but laughing at the same time going all drowsy but smiling. I’ve had many ops but never had an anethiatist who was such a laugh!!!! I asked my sugeon Mr singh how long it would take him to do my re-ug and he said max 1/2 an hour to an hour.. Why dont you try Mr Singh I feel he is an incredible surgeon and if you want big boobs he is the man. I’m sure all the MYA surgeons are fab but I did not wake up with drains out of my boobs and had minimal pain. I was thoroughly impressed with him. Sometimes its nice to have a recommendation!!! My boobs look fab, big ,but not stupidly big. Bearing in mind I am a size 4-6 and am 5”7” it takes an impresive surgeon to acheive large and natural look without them looking like footballs!!!

    Hiya Kellg,
    welcome to our discussion!!
Putting things on hold… Go for it it will be the best thing you do!!
Its great that this forum is here to have real life sories and advice written and its great you have replied on the forum!!
It is scary and I wish that with my first BA 10 years ago that there was a forum to speak to people and have real feedback. Believe me there is nothing to worry about. All I can say is when you wake up I cant describe the feeling when you look down and see your new boobs!!! Pain??? well you really will have minimal pain as you are given expert medical care, pain killers etc. I have to say MYA is fantastic my previous BA 10 years ago was with Transform and though at the time it was ok it was nothing to the service I received from MYA!!! The hospital (highate London) was fab and I just feel the company itself is trendy, smart, and up to date and ahead of the rest (this is my opinion). The op is fine you are given morphine (well I was) when you are asleep at the end of the op so when you wake up you feel no pain. I felt great. Breast surgery is a big step I know… and it is worrying …but please feel assured that it really is not that painful. I had my op on 3rd June ..when I got home I had minimal discomfort as I have painkillers to help. I had my implants under the muscle and the only way to decribe the pain is like”pulling a chest muscle at the gym”… there are hundreds of thousands of women who have BA’s every year and if the op was that bad then surely this figure would not be as high!! Loose skin …a BA will sort this and you will look fantastic!!! All I can remember is the wonderful feeling I felt when I woke up …that is priceless. If you have any more concerns then dont hesitate to ask . Hope this helps . Emmaxxx

Emma you’re a star, thanks so much for all the info above. My partner will be helping around the house and have my hair appointment booked so I can have it washed properly, don’t know how I’ll get by not being able to have a full shower or bath but it’ll all be worth it. Your whole experience sounds so good and I know my experience with MYA so far has been brilliant from the first call to arrange a consultation to now and the best bit has yet to come!!!!!!! Just one more question – What time were you discharged from hospital the following day? x

    Hi Fiona!!,
Yes definately go for a d cup. My first op was a 340cc which in some bras was a 32c and in others was a 32d. Its better to go bigger. I bet in a few years you will have bigger he he….
After the op I was in no pain , when your asleep at the end of the op they give you morphine so when you wake up you feel no pain. I arrived at 9.30 and by 12.30 was back in my ”hotel room” watching the TV. I must admit I felt no pain so when the nurse kept checking on me I didnt need pain killers. Over night I woke up at about 3am with a small amount of discomfort ..it was more a feeling of pulling a muscle at the gym nothing horrendous. The nurse gave me a painkiller and within 20 mins I was back to sleep. When I got home on Wednesday I had a few boxes of painkillers which you receive on discharge from the hospital I didnt need to take them on Weds as was in no pain. However….. Thursday morning when I woke up I was soooooo stiff..whatever you do take a pain killer before bed the first night even if you are in no pain when you get home. It was hard for me as I have a 15 month old baby boy so when I got home he kept running up to me for me to pick him up…I felt really bad as I couldnt lift him. Make sure you have somebody to help you with domestic tasks. I had no probelms brushing my teeth, having a bath(shallow bath and just splash and use a flannel around area but keep you bra on) etc. The only difficult things I have found is washing up, reaching in to cupboards above waist level etc. The things we do for vanity he he!!!
You have chosen the best surgeon in my opinion for larger boobs, Mr Singh did Jordans a few years ago so you are in safe hands.
The forums are really good, its great that I can share my experience with you and others. My first op was with Transform and I have to say my 2nd BA experience with MYA was SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better . Even the hospital this time was 200% better and the overall service was exceptional!!!
Good luck with the new boobs, when you wake up you will look down and think..WOW!!! Its such a great feeling

    Hi Emma
Thanks ever so much for your comments, they’re really helpful. I’m so excited, I’m counting down the days! How are you feeling after the op, still recovering well? Few of my friends recommended not to go for anything bigger than a C but after speaking with a few people and knowing myself that I’ve wanted bigger boobs for about 10 years that I should really go for a D.
The hospital or should I say hotel ;) sounds great, won’t really feel like being in hospital with that kind of service! I’ll definitely keep you all posted after the op, the forums are really useful – it’s surprising how many of us have had a ba or are about to have one!

    Hi Fiona!!
Hope your BA goes well. Mr Singh is excellent. I remeber with my first BA I woke up with drains out of each boob and I had to go to the toilet holding on to a plastic bottle in each hand connected to the drains this wasnt the most pleasant experience!! However I did not have any drains with MR Singh!! You must have more room to have overs (more skin than I did as a 32a). Its worth asking if they can go under the muscle I just found with mine that they were pert and firm for many years and never drooped. It is ultimately the surgeons decision at the end of the day but it would be great to let everyone know how you get on and what Mr Singh says as its a question that complexes everyone…Over or Under????
Pert and natural is a definate with Mr Singh…you will love Highgate, the rooms are lovely with Sky TV and en suite bathroom ,you have your own personal nurse and a great ”food menu” (there was sirloin steak on the menu on the 3rd June yum yum). Tea and coffee at the touch of a button (phone call). It is in a lovely area and has a great garden at the back . I sat on the bench in the garden after my op soaking up the sun…my room was next to the garden.
I hope you have the anethiatist that I did he is chinese/korean (i think) and is so funny and really makes you laugh which is great when you are nervous!!!
    Keep us all updated

    Hi everyone.
I’ve got my ba with Mr Singh on 26 June at Highgate – can’t wait!!! I’m a small 32b and having 380cc implants over the muscle. I did think that I’d have to have unders however Mr Singh said that they can go over the muscle and that ultimately it is the surgeon’s choice. My friend had ba 7 years ago and hers were put under the muscle and she recommended unders as they don’t sag……..and after reading your comments Emma about sagging I think I would prefer them to be under but I guess I can discuss this with Mr Singh on the day of the op and if he still feels that they should go over I trust his judgement. For my consultation with Mr Singh, I took some pics of the kind of look I would like to achieve and the kind I don’t want, ideally I want them to look as natural as possible but still pert and Mr Singh felt that this was achieveable!!! :)

    Hi everyone!!
Over or under that is the big question!!
I’m no expert but can just discuss this topic from personal experience. I had a 32a bust 10 years ago and was advised that I could have a c cup (340cc)but the implant would have to go under the muscle as I had little breat tissue to fit the implant over. At the time I wanted a d cup (was not possible) but in reality if you have a small bust it really is impossible to have huge boobs….you can only fit an implant in the room you have. When you see all these celebs / models with huge implants you think I want that!!! However most of these had at least a b/c bust or a large A cup to start with. If you have a small bust then dont despair!! Your first op may only bring you to a B,C or small D but after a few years the breast tissue does stretch. After 10 years I went to MYA to see if I could go bigger and guess what I could. I am now a 32F (700cc). My boobs do not look like footballs and false they look fabulous. I would never have been able to have this size as a 32a….just be patient. I still had my larger implants 700ccs under the muscle as I did not have enough skin but the tissue had stretched somewhat over 10 years to allow a bigger implant under the muscle.
There is a big debate that under the muscle is more painful…I was never in any real pain with both ops. It is more of a feeling of pulling a muscle when you bench press at the gym. Under the muscle in my opinion gives the implant support and plays a vital role in helping the bust not to sag over the years with weight loss etc. I hope this helps everyone. emmaxxx

The thing with overs is that the implant is only held up with your breast tissue and skin, were as going behind the muscle allows the implant to be held up by the muscle aswell, causing the overs to sag quicker. also going over the muscle makes it harder to search and the xray thing for breast cancer by up to 50%. So personally i would go under the muscle. x

    Menu

unders mean under the muscle wall and overs is behind your existing breast tissue sometimes if you dont have enough breast tissue they tend to go under but if you do have enough tissue then they will go over im a size 38aa and he said overs for me it just depends on what you have already

    Hiya,
Mine look natural and pert. If you have big implants over the muscle over time the skin stretches and the implant sags. I asked the surgeon this morning when he came to check on me. I was originally a 32a 10 years ago and had 340 cc under the muscle as I had no room for an implant over. My breast tissue had increased over 10 years and I was allowed 700cc, however Mr singh still put my new ones under the muscle as you HAVE to have a big bust naturally to be able to have a 700cc over (even if you have a big bust to start with you can still have them under). I am wearing now a 32f sports bra and I am a size 6 frame ,weigh 8.3 stone and 5”7”. If you are having large implants then i do feel you need them to have that pert look. Under the muscle does have the benefits..the implant never drops and is supported. In 10 years my boobs never drooped and I could go out without a bra on. I feel this was down to having them under the muscle. It is no more painful after what so ever. I came home today with pain killers and havent had any yet as not in pain!! Emmaxxx

    Hi everyone,
Had a BA (breast re-augmentation) yesterday with Mr Singh at Highgate Hospital London. Arrived at 9.30am and was watching loose women at 12.30pm back at my hospital bed with my new 700cc boobs . I have got to say if you want a big breast surgeon then Mr Singh is the man. I did not wake up with any drains out of my boobs like I did with my first BA 10 years ago (at Transform Manchester) and the pain was very minimal. I have to also say I have never had such a good laugh with an anethiatist as I did at hightgate, what a laugh he was……i was in stitches lauging whilst being put to sleep!!! Normally im scared when taken in the anesthetic room!!! The only pain I felt was overnight and it felt like I’d pulled a muscle in my chest but it went after a few light pain killers. I managed to get a shower, put my make up on and get dressed with no problems this morning.

Just thought I’d share my experience with you all ….Mr singh is a superb surgeon for BA and BA re-augs (especially if you are wanting bigger boobs!!!!….He apparently did Jordans many years ago
