It is amazing how much better you feel after a run. For six weeks i did not run do any high impact exercises and classes such as body attack and pump.

After two weeks i wentto the gym a couple times a week, very gentle walking or the same on the bike. I was very careful not to exert myself at all and make sure my heart beat was not raised. (does that make sense), you have to make sure that your heartbeat does not accelerate too much as it interferes with healing process. As i felt better and weeks went by i gradually increased amount of exercise, introducing gentle weights only on legs and lastly biceps triceps. By the time my six weeks was over, i was dying to get back to class. I am nearly 9 weeks post op and my running is nearly back to normal, can do my classes only difference is my weights are lower in pump, but i am getting there. Last week started doing press ups again but just a couple. still wary of exercise that isolates the chest muscles. Before you do anything, speak to your nurse,i only had overs, so it was much easier.x
