Ive got a bit saved up but planned on paying £3000 on my credit card for my ba. The interest

On my card is 16.9% so my friend suggested a 0% (never entered

My tiny head lol). So I’ve applied to tesco and been accepted but with a limit of just £1000 instead of the £3000 that I need… I’m so pleased Ive been accepted, but not as straight forward as I thought. Looks like I’ll have it spread over 2 cards eeek!

Ring them up and say you want to buy a car, and they might put the limit up for you. x

They tend not to increase the limit straight after account opening. Sorry to rain on your parade. Just make sure you utilise the 0%, find out what you get longer on 0% purchases or balance transfers, if you get longer on balance transfers, pay for your ba on your 16.9% card then do a balance transfer to the 0% card, set up a dd for minimum payment to 0% one and pay as much as you can off the 16.9% one, this will save on interest in the long run. As youre reducing the balance wait about 6 months and then apply for another card to transfer the remaining outstanding balance on the 16.9% card and then focus on what you have on the currwnt 0% one to get rid of the balance asap as the interest will increase once the promotional offer expires Hope this helps x
