    hey girls, just wondered how many if u girls smoked when u had ur ba and what happened? and how many of u carried on taking the pill? cos i have been told to stop both of them….. but i dont want to lol know i should listen to my surgen but there seems to be diff people sayig doff things!? thanxs girlies xxxx

    hi charly i smoked right up untill the day of my op(naughty i know) the stress of worrying about the op only made me want to smoke more, felt so rough after the op that i havnt had a cigarette since(3months), smoking can delay the healing process so was a really good reason for giving up. as for the pill i think it increases the risk of blood clots wich can be very dangerous in operations or something like that. whens your op?xxx

    if you can try to stop smoking i would. Both smoking and taking the pill can increase your chances of DVT and that is why they advise you stop both, although some surgeons say its ok to keep taking the pill. I would do what your surgeon has said and stop taking it.
