Has anyone else had this problem it really

hurts I have to wait a few more weeks and

mr singh will take it out I don’t think they really

talk about this problem at the clinic

    Menu

It happens and when u sign the papers, It is listed in the risks…

It’s a common thing, I’m sure if u did ur research you would be familiar about it.

I’m sorry it happened to you.

I think it’s how your body reacted to implants and is somehow rejecting it. Sometimes when it happens there is no pain but other things happen like hardening of the breast.

It’s not the surgeons fault. Just one the risks you sign on when you under go ba.

i had CC but it happened after 3 & 1/2 years…it can happen at any time and is the most common problem with implants. I just underwent my second BA with CC removal and it could happen again…..I have already started saving for the next BA cos I will need al least another 2, possibly up to 5 in my life time (i am 25).

    Menu

    Maxine – I’m 25 too! Why would u need 2/5 more ba’s???

I worry about cc all the time & I’m sorry to hear it’s happened to you both!!

What MYA mean is that they will continue to replace if CC continues to happen, they don’t limit to just one replacement as some companies do

How common is cc and is it more common unders/overs/larger sizes? I don’t know much about it and don’t tend to worry/think bout these things but this has made me worry a little X

CC is more common with overs than unders, not sure why, don’t think the size has any affect on it.

According to medical reports cc is increased if you have a smooth implant rather than textured, if you have a really large implant, and if you go over the muscle.

It is therefore less likely if you have textured implants, or cohesive gel implants (as body responds better to the firmer implant but downside is they feel firmer to touch), smaller implants.

MYA states about 4% of patients or something really really low like that get CC, everybody responds differently and it depends whether your body “rejects” the implant because it recognises that it is a foreign object. You really don’t need to worry too much just keep a close eye on your implants are for sudden hardening, coupled with pain. If you did get it MYA would take it out and replace it xx

Also, if you have smooth implants you are advised to regularly massage your breasts to prevent cc.

However if you textured implants you are advised NOT to massage them, as the textured surface is supposed to adhere/stay in that particular area inside your body and massaging it would disslodge it and could aggravate cc.

    Hope that helps xxx

They also say saline is less likely to cause cc compared to silicone.

On the other hand, texture implants has more chance of rippling/wrinkling than smooth…

    Haha.. U just don’t win..

Bloody hell you can’t win can you, I suppose it’s just bad luck if it happens Isnt it! Does mya cover all implants for cc? I know I’ll be having high profile overs and either 410s or 460s but I don’t know which actual implant X
