left waiting 12 hours!!

i had an uplift with implants, i went to preston hospital, staff were lovely i was ment to go in at 10.30 i got there at 10am and got shown to my room and got told to get put my gown, stocking & paper pants on they told me id be going in soon,

got all excited & hadnt ate since the night before, numerous people came in to do what they had to do, abou 11.30-12 i went out to ask what time i was going in they told me it’d be an hour, 2 hours past and i went and asked again they said it will be within the hour, and the same thing happend alot through out the day, no one informed me i was walking around in my gown and stockings to find out what was happening.

when the night staff came on at 6 i went out and asked them what was going on, i was starving & nervous.

i eventually went down to surgery at 10.30 and was back in my room by 2am.

and was discharged out the hospital at 10am with only having 1 and a half slices of toast.

i have had a meeting with a manager 2 weeks ago and not heard anything back!

and also my pc never put implants in my bra i never got to pick what implants i was having is this normal?

a few of my friends who have gone with other companies said they all done this.

i dont like my boobs i feel like iv just had an uplift with out any implants, but as im only 4 weeks post op i av to wait another 2 months to see the surgeon!

That is absolutely disgusting!!! I’d want compensation for that. After all the money u have paid and they treated u like that!!!!

Mya seem to b getting a bad reputation lately. Thank god I didn’t go with them.

It definitely seems they use there patients like conveyor belts!!!!

I had a consultation with mr traynor for my re-aug because I had pips from another company and one had ruptured and I tried implants but was hard to tell because I already had implants!!! But they decided they wasn’t booking anymore people in with pips for a couple months so decided to go with my breast and thank god I did with some of the bad reports I’ve heard about Mya. Xx

Hey. It’s awful you were left so long! I was annoyed that I had to wait over four hours & even more annoyed that people with later admission times than me went before me.

But at my consultation I did try on a sizer kit. It wasn’t the actual implants that I tried on but these chicken fillet things that added up to the cc size xx

Ahh hun sorry to hear u had a bad experience, i was left waiting two hours after the time i was supposed to go down so i cant imagine how u must have felt! Yes i tried my implants in bra when i met my surgeon but not on day of surgery. Its early days so give your boobs chance to chsnge and see how u feel hun. Hope your ok x

Yeah, I had my op on time and everything (unlike the op), but then they left me 10 hours without food, messed up all my paperwork and meds, and forgot to get the doctor to check on me before i left. Had to make an official complaint about them. They even messed up the time i went back to have fluid drained off a seroma!!

Oh my lord, thats terrible hun, u must have felt awful. I thought i had a long wait cos i was last on list and ended goin to theatre about 8pm after not eating from early hours day before and i had the migraine from hell cos of dehydration, so god knows what your head was like! I wud definitly push for some sort of response from management for this, u look forward to your day so much and when something like this happens it just spoils the whole experience. As for not feeling you got what u asked for so far as cc is concerned that needs addressing just as badly. Good luck getting somewhere xx

i went to ncl clinic, and got to try different size implants on. I’m also booked into preston for the 9th aug, i hope i don’t get the same experience!!

OMG, that’s awful. Can you imagine how scared some of the people are on here having the op in the first place, being left 12 hours, would conjure up all kinds of thoughts for those poor girls. I would deffo have to say something, because that was appalling.
