Let down!!!!

Hi Everyone

Firstly this feels quite odd because i havent been on this site for months, and before my BA i think i was on here about 300 times a day lol, and just couldnt get boobs off my mind!!!
I had my BA through MYA on 2nd Sept 09, with Mr Adamo at Highgate. I had 460cc overs and am now a 30E. At the time i was very pleased with the service MYA offered me before my op. Its now nearly 6 months after my op, and i have never had an appointment come through for a post op!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel like MYA couldnt do enough for me whilst they were getting me to book up etc… and they minute they got my money, job done. A bit of a number in order to make money and as soon as they succeeded your forgotten about.
I also used to txt my PC quite alot before my op, pestering her with questions, implant sizes et… and then the day of my op, and after the op i never heard off her again. And i just think if i was running this kind of company id get the PC’s just to send maybe a courtesy txt on the day of your op saying ‘good luck’ or day after just to see how you are. I know thats not a big deal, but i just think its shows they care, when really all they care about is taking your money. Your just a number.xx

who was your pc hun and where did you have your surgery? Mines all booked up for next tue, worried now! xx

Ah sorry to hear ur experience wasn’t good!I went with mya in b.ham and my pc called the day after op, then called a few times during first week, I’ve had two post op checks in last 8 weeks and they’ve still all been lovely!xx

Hiya lucyloo, im exactlly the same as you!!! I had my op 15th feb and no contact has been made from my PC to see if im ok, how did it go or am i healing ok or even how did the hospital treat me and can i remind you we pay 400 quid to stay there!!!!

Im absolutly disgusted in mya love Mr Kazzazi but you can get him from other clinics, i just think the girls that work at mya show no real interest on ur recovery just want ur money and that is that..

My fiance will be contacting them on monday if i recieve no curtacy call, as he paid for it and he says the service i have recieved has been crap!!! and it was my birthday present he is so so mad and i cant wait to hear how they respond to him hehe

My PC was becky from nottingham clinic and i went to doncaster hospital (which may i add is not what the girls say on here!!)

ooh gosh – so sorry you ladies are having a bad post op experience!! i can fault mine, i recieved a tx from my pc on the day of my op wishing me luck and my nurse rang me the day after to check how everything went and how i was feeling

i have since been to have my stitches checked by the nurse were she even took pictures of my scars and booked me in again for week after to monitor my healing – also booked in for 5 weeks time to see my surgeon

i would get in contact with MYA – i would have thought your surgeon would need to see you

The price you pay is for the aftercare as well, get your monies worth!!! xxx

dont be concerned babe, the surgeons are great but the after care we have recieved has been simular and to say the least rubbish…

i had mine 5 days ago and you will be fine everybodys experience is different babe, i just seen this post and felt exactly the same as lucyloo, but then you have girls who feel totally opposite

I wnet through transfomr and ive had loadsa phones cals from them, i have my post op appointment on the 4th march, i had my boobs done sept aswell, they have been fab.
my pa still laughs n jokes with me when i call them! X

i went with the hospital group and there aftercare is fab,seen the nurse for stitches out after one week,seen her again just for her to check my scars were healing well,and seen surgeon at 3 months next check with surgeon will be april for 6 month check,and then yearly xx

Did yous not get a call off a nurse the day after getting them done, i did and thought this was standard, she just gave me a little bit of advice and asked howe i was, i went through mya and dont think they r too bad xx

yes got phone call day after i came home,she called me a few times,cannot fault any part of there care xx

Hiya i would get in touch with them as MYA are the best company i have known for care and after care, I have used transform before and they were not very good atall i had no phone calls nothing i just had appt with pc appt with surgeon pre op surgery and stitches out, with MYA i have had many appts and phone calls and iv got a post op with the surgeon booked, They even rang the day after surgery and my pc has rang a few times since to see how i am and if im happy :o) xxx

yeah I havent had my surgery yet but its on tue and my nurse called me today just to let me today to wish me luck on Tue and let me know she would be on holiday mon and tue so would call me when she got bk on thur to see how i am, she was really nice and reassuring! I hope the aftercare is as good! xx

Hi everyone, thank you all for your comments. I was really pleased with mya untill after my surgery, it was a bit like ‘ok thats it’ and i was in alot of pain after as one of my implants was sitting against a nerve, and really could of done with some reasurrance off them. My PC was Jodie Sedgewick from the nottingham clinic, and had them done at Highgate in London.
There was 8 people booked in that day, and he was doing one every 40mins, it was a bit like a meat market lol.
He is a good surgeon though, and am really pleased with my results, its just a shame they were a let down on after care. x x x

Hi Lucyloo, only just read your post hun, and sorry to hear that you didn’t get the support you needed. I also had Mr Adamo at Highgate, and when i went for my check up with the nurse at 8 days post op, then my appointment with Mr Adamo for my 7 week post op appointment was made then and there. I didn’t get any contact from my pc though as my original one left before my ba, and i only spoke to the girl who took over from her once. Hopefully getting this type of feedback on this forum, will do some good? xx
