I think I’m gonna be the same! I’ve heard a lot of girls say that a V pillow can really help…?

the first few nights are hard but somehow you get used to sleeping on your back, i thought i’d roll over in the night but somehow you don’t?

It wasn’t a problem for me directly post op- I have a V- pillow which is good but your are so tired and on drugs and knackered that it is surprisingly comfy. Now I’m 6 days post op and have stopped the pain killers- I feel more battered! My back aches and because you are more mobile I am fighting the urge to roll to my side. I think this is the worse bit! which actually is quite good isn’t it!! Luckily having kids means I’m always sleep deprived so nothing new! x

Im not finding it to be too bad, but i too have a v pillow it helps a lot!! But i have to admit im looking forward to lying on my side and front again!! Im 4 days post op n for the past 2 days my right boob has had much less pain which has meant i can move that side arm quite freely. The left side has hurt like hell but today i feel iv turned a corner as im starting to use my left arm a bit more n not as much pain. :) Im now only taking the anti biotics too as the pain is managable without the cocodamol. Wednesday i see the nurse to have dressings removed :) happy healing girlies xxx

V Pillows are great as they support your back and stop you leaning to the side. I used one when I was breast feeding and quite often woke up completely sat up in bed after falling asleep whilst burping my son so they must be fairly comfy!

you have to for the first week to 10 days because it helps to reduce the swelling in the breast. V pillows do help along with propping yp with ordinary pillows because the support your neck. don’t miss sleeping on back but it does get easier. move the position of legs to see if it helps you bum going numb x happy healing
