life after rhinoplasty….

hi all,

I’m having an open septo rhinoplasty done in October with Mr Gonschoir.

I was just wondering, for those who have had a rhinoplasty how having the procdeure has changed your life? Is it true what they say that having your nose done really changes / improves your whole face? do you enjoy having your photo taken now? are you more confident? etc etc.

Have to say still can’t stand having my photo taken, but found I’m not so self conscious if on the tube and forced to have my profile on display, and the fact you can see your profile in the glass which I hated!

Funny really, I’m sure it will get better but it’s a long time of conditioning to cure x

Its changed my life soooo much im only 3 1/2 weeks post op but i love my new nose so much already its given me so much more confidence in myself, im not conscious of my profile anymore and its so nice not having that worry anymore!!! Like i imagined most people that didnt know i was having my nose done havent really noticed the massive change but thats good too because it was never for anyone but myself and for those who do know they really love it too so thats nice also!!! I believe it has changed my face because before i would never wear my hair up and now i love it!!! crazy ey, i never knew i didnt like my hair up because of my nose but it must of made it stand out more on my face and now it looks so much better with my smaller nose!!! sorry to babble on in my own little world haha you wont be disappointed at all!!! you do however need to be patient with the swelling!!! xxx

bryxoxo that’s really good to hear, i was thinking it might be like that, that other people might not notice so much cos it’s quite subtle getting a nose job, but to you it looks sooo different and increases your confidence. the main probelm with my nose is that it’s not straight, which can look weird in photos as it’s so central on your face depending on the angle you look different in every pic! can’t wait for that not to happen. like u say it might only be me that notices, but that’s fine by me.

Hey, yeah i was the same like i hated that i had to stand at a certain angle so that you wouldnt see the bump on my nose in photos, its like im faking the real me really because my hump was the real me so i used to think yeah i look ok in that photo but its only because you cant see the hump – hope this makes sense!!! so now i the hump is gone i dont have to worry about what angle pictures are taking at and if people are staring at my nose!!! its such a great feeling honestly xxx
