    if i have no pain when lifting my arms am i ok to do it? just to say tie my hair up etc. its doesnt hurt just a little tight but i dont want to cause any damage

    In my opinion I think the main concern is that you will stretch the scars honey,so its not about whether or not you can do it,its about letting the scars have a chance to heal.But that’s just my opinion,and Im not medically qualified.xx

    yeah i thought that and thats my worry cos im on painkillers i wont feel it properly. im trying to not use them as much as possible but itrs hard isnt it

    Really hard honey,especially when you feel that you are able to do these small things with no pain,like you I felt fine,but its always best to do as little as possible in the first 2 weeks,even if you feel up to it,you can still be active,just go at a snail pace honey,when I brushed my hair,I sat on the floor,brought my knees up to my face,leaned my head forward,you can put your elbows at the sides of your knees without stretching and still manage to do your hair,hope to god no one saw me,lol.xxx

    I thought that hun. I was like “I duno what the fuss is about I can lift my arms fine!” but then realised its not a question of if you can or not, you’re just not supposed to lol xx

    The nurse told me not to for 6 weeks although the first 2 weeks is the most important. It’s annoying me now I’m 4 weeks po. x

    I got told not to lift my arms above my head for a week. Stretches incisions and can pull the muscles xx

    omg ive been doin everythin im not ment to be doin! i think i even blowdryed my hair at 5/6 days post op!! my boobs are gona be dodgey lol
