    Post op girls, how soon can you lift your arms up once you’ve had BA? I’m curious because I was wondering how I’ll get changed, etc. after the operation. I’m also thinking gym/sports but I know I can;t do that for 6 weeks. I know they say to wear zip up tops for after surgery, but for how long? And I was wondering, once you can lift your arms, is it painful?

    xx

    @hayley-2 thanks for replying. That’s what worries me too. I’m scared that I’ll pull it out of place or something! Haha. I’m considering buying a few more cheap zip up tops/really baggy t-shirts so I can do that! Have yours been ok? xx

    No worries 🙂 to be honest I’d just get vest tops, and zip up jumpers for over top. I live in vest tops still and just pull them up im still scared of lifting arms lol. But by day 3 you could if you wanted to probably 🙂 mine have been great except from a infection I got from my left drain incision couple days post op but feeling great now! Still sore, very sensitive skin and shooting pains are crazy at the moment. But I love them best thing I’ve ever done! Xx

    @hayley-2 I’ll do that then too! 🙂 I’ll probably take it easy as I’m a wimp when it comes to pain so anything that won’t cause too many problems, I’ll certainly try out!

    Ouch! I’m dreading the drains. Did you have to get antibiotics from the doctor or did MYA sort it out? It seems like the pain/discomfort is worth it then. I’m glad you’re really happy with yours. I’m so excited for mine now xx

    @amanda25 Did you have overs too hun if you don’t mind me asking? I just want to be able to day-to-day activities. I’m quite impatient so I don’t wanna rush and over do anything. Would you suggest just to see how I am on the day? P.s. Do you mind if I add you please? xx

    That whole message didnt send. Not sure what happened to it lol? The drains are not completely bad just uncomfortable if it gets stuck lol. Who’s your surgeon? I rang out of hours clinic as was 8.30pm on Saturday night explained then they told me to go to a&e who re dressed it I then went to my doctor on the Monday who looked at it and gave me tramadol (painkillers) then fluxacillin (antibiotics) I then went back to mya on the Thursday to get strapping of they cleaned the infection took swab and re dressed it told me not to shower that boob till I got the results which was two days later. Come back negative so looked like the extra antibiotics worked 🙂 took dressing of and was tiny bruise. Picture is on my photos if you want to look. Good lucj with yours you will love them. When’s the op date? Xx

    @amanda25 I think I’m going to try and be pretty mobile like you were but not overdo it. I suppose my body will soon let me know. Haha. Do you feel like your really overprotective with them now then?

    @missycee
    That’s so good to hear. It makes me less nervous knowing that there’s not as much pain to come as I expect. I suppose I’m going to have to ‘man up’ and get on with it. Haha xx
