I just came on in my lunch hour to post the exact same question about lifting my arms up!!

Hope someone out there can answer it.

I realised at the weekend that I hardly have any clothes that dont have to go over my head – so I could end up going to work naked if its longer than a week!!

Good luck hun – cant wait to hear your story!! (i\’m in on the 20th June – 380cc unders – soooooooooooooo excited!!)

    Hi Ladies,

i’m now 3 weeks post opm and have been able to lift my arms for most of it.

the nurse advised that i didnt lift them above shoulder height for the first week, but i have hair that touches my bum so proved difficult to stick to, i was ok aftr 3 days. . . .

the nurse will tell you then to be carful for the next 6 week no exercise etc. . so just be careful i would say. . .

    Good luck!! xx

PS with the party. . . i had bandages on after my BA but i wouldnt of felt up to going to a party, especially if i would of got knocked 2, they were quite sensitive!

also i was given anitbiotics, and co codamol for pain, and you shouldnt really drink on either. . . xx

    Hi,

personaly i couldnt of gone out after 4 days ,i did start to feel a bit better by day 4, but i would say a week at least, but then i suppose it depends on unders or overs i i had unders.

lifting arms is a gradual progression and you can only gage it on yourself.

my advice is if it hurts dont do it .!!!

Good luck with your BA tomorrow xx

Hi, I got my BA on Thursday (3 days ago) and could lift my hands up straight away, although I’m really careful and don’t do it but like you, I’ve not many tops that button up the front so its proving to be a tad difficult. xx
