Hi girls, i’m thiking about getting my lips touched up, nothing drastic i don’t want a trout pout. i have a few lines on the actual surface on my lips so would like them filled in for a smoother appearance so my lipstick sits better. has anyone has this done? how much does it cost? how long do the results last? and what type of filler did you get etc?

    Much appreciated! xx

    hi Khanni

I had lip fillers about year and half ago (juvederm) and has only now just faded. I didnt want the bee stung look and the person i went to knew what he was doing which is very important as I have seen few people since who had it done and regretted it. It is very very painfull and when I get it redone will make sure get a dental block! . My upper lip had really defined shape and lipstick seemed to sit better. Would def recommend it but would say to go somewhere recommended and someone who knows about facial nerves and about the products they are injecting. I paid £250 whjch think is about average. Think Mya do it as well as botox. Hope this helps. x

Pauline – thankyou! That’s great, not a bad price for something that lasts a year :) the new juvederm smile series has an anaesthetic in the solution to minimise pain so that should help. I will make sure I go to a specialist. Did it smooth out any lines you had on your lips?

Pop – there’s nothing wrong with a little tweak here and there :) I want quite abit corrected myself! I don’t want to look plastic just want to accentuate what I have xxx

Hi there. I would still have a dental block as it is the needle going in which I felt hurt the most. They put the needle under the lip line really far into the lip line and then inject slowly and feels like lip is on fire! The new juvederm sounds good the more pain relief the better lol. It smoothed out my lips, gave nice shape and smoothed lines above my lip though didnt have many lines. I had some botox at same time and to be honest know one really noticed i had either treatments but it made me feel happier and think prevents lines ect developing. Think if it makes you feel happier then its worth it

Thankyou :) I’m 25 and have a babyface lol i hate it. so I don’t think anyone will notice buy I don’t like the way my lipstick sits as my lips have quite afew lines on them. I don’t think I’d want it injected into my lip line as its the inside area od my lip I want altering. I’ll put some pics up if and when I get it, I’m 5 days post op from a boob job yet so still healing xx

Depending on the filler being used you may have to avoid date night. Most fillers cause swelling and inflammation for up to a couple of days. Ask the person to use Emervel. Its brilliant and painless compared to the rest.

    Also it feels more natural.

hi girls i have had my lips done 3 times, the first time with a dental block the 2nd and 3rd without and i would defo say not to bother with the dental block i couldnt move my mouth for ages afterwards cos the bottom of my face was numb! lol! with the 2nd and 3rd time i think the ‘healing’ was much quicker. i absolutely love mine my friend is a GP and does me a nice discount but the time i didnt go to him i paid 270 pound for 1ml. x
